Outskirts of science (midnight, Shirke Lab, open)

The drive from her apartment to the abandoned warehouses near
the lab took her nearly an hour to get to my car. Luckily the
roads were empty at this time of night as she cut her lights off
and navigated to a hidden area to park. She grabbed her stuff
and took the map out to spread it over the hood of the car.
Taking out her phone she found blueprints of the lab and began
to compare them.
"The eastern side is faces this building but the roofs door is
on the west. If I'm luckily the security won't be that tight at
this hour." She rolled the map up. Pulling her hair back she
grabbed her bag and headed the stairs. Once at the rooftop she
set her bag down and took out a pair of binoculars to see if any
guards were on the labs roof.

Despite the time of night it wasn't really that uncommon for Lya
to be in back alleys of the area. She found the night air
fairly soothing. However she was used to being mostly alone.
Tonight was different. As she was walking through dark she
caught a quick glimpse of a shadow. Catching sight of where it
had gone, and still being slightly uneasy from the nights
before, she followed the shadow up a set of stairs. Quietly she
stepped onto the roof to see Thea peering through a pair of
binoculars.

The roof had two air vents facing the east. And what one would
assu,email to be a roof door to the west facing away from the
airport. Two guards armed with rifles,, patrolled the roof. They
stayed to opposite sides as they walked the roofs perimeter.

"And already this is becoming annoying..." she thought and
lowered the binoculars, slipping them back in the bag. She'd
need to take out one of the guards before the other noticed and
then handle the second. "Too much delicate timing. Should a
brought Div." she muttered and pulled out the cable gun she
needed

Lya hesitated approaching Thea for a moment. She followed the
girls gaze and saw the movement on the other roof. Her words
caught her ears softly, and Lya bit her lip. Carefully and
quietly, although not so quiet as to sneak up on the other, she
approached. She took a breath, making sure the girl realized
her prescience. [i]"Are you looking to get into that building?
I could lend some assistance if you would like." She bit her
lip lightly. She knew this was out of nowhere and didn't want
to take the other off guard, but if she was trying to do what
she was thinking she was.....the Lya had performed these
maneuvers...many times before.

Thea tensed up and slowly turned around. She didn't relax at the
sight of the other girl "You're from earlier today...the quiet
one at the club. What are you doing here?" she asked. Wondering
why she was here and why she was offering to help her.

Lya sighed softly and took a step backwards. She bit her lip
and looked down. [i]"Yeah, that's me. The quiet one. I live
not too far from here, and I needed a bit of air. I was
clearing my head when i saw you come up here." She let her gaze
fall to the cable gun and crossed her arms.
[color=mediumpurple][i]"It looked as if you were about to
undertake something that might be more advantageous with a
second person. And I apologize if i'm making an
assumption...but it appears you might be doing something I've
had some experience with. However if you'd rather I just turn
around and leave, that's fine too. I haven't seen a thing if
that's the case. I'm practically a shadow of a human being
anyways."

Thea was silent for a few moments, looking at Lya then back at
the facility "Riiight, yeah I could use some help breaking in."
she shrugged, wouldn't be the first time she randomly ended up
with a partner. "Unfortunately you caught me on a stressful day.
I'd normally be better planned but I'm working on a short time
table. So got a name?"

The corner of Lya's lips twitched upwards for a fraction of a
second. [i]"I think i can understand stressful days. The
name's Lya." She offered a hand to Thea.

"Thea." she said and took her hand. "Now then Lya do you
normally go offering help to random criminals in the middle of
the night." she teased lightly before turning around to face the
building.
