Preporation (Open, Thea, Div: After Cafe Break 2)

Div followed Thea down streets that seemed to twist and wind
around each other. Div looked up at the sky. Wow it sure seemed
to get dark fast. The sun was setting, but it wasn't seen over
the tall looming buildings that almost all looked abadoned. The
sky was almost twilight as they moved.
"Sooo, where exactly do we have to go first?"
Div asked, side stepping a rather shady indevidual who seemed to
have a bit too much interest in Div's pockets.

Thea was grinning, feeling relaxed and comfortable to walk down
the streets of the Alley. "Leo's is pretty close, just down the
next 2 streets and last door in an alleyway." She said and
looked over at him.
"The Alley is nice moat of the folks here are awesome people but
they will take advantage if you walk about looking like a
newbie. Leo was the first person I met when I wound up here."
She explained.

"If you see so." he said. He didn't think he looked like a noob.
He stuck his chest out and walked with a little more assurance.
He followed Thea into the small shop.

Surprisingly the store was brightly lit and looked like a
regular convince store wih shelves of chipa, candy, soda and
small household necessities. In the corner of the store was the
cash register with a petite Asian woman manning it. Her light
brown hair went down her back in a single braid. She looked up
as they entered "Thea, stranger. Welcome." She said and went
back to the book in front of her.
"Hey Asae." Thea greeted as she headed to the drinks cooler at
the very end of the aisle. She opened the case and frowned.
"Riiight which was it...?" She muttered.

"Hey." Div said, giving the woman a casual wave.
He wasn't surprised at the type of corner store. he'd seen these
littered everywhere.
He walked up to Thea. "Sooo, we're looking for drinks now or..."

"No, gimmie a moment it's one of these." she said and grabbed a
diet tea off the shelf, when nothing happened she put it back
"Alright not that one." she muttered and grabbed a cola. "Not
this..." frowning she grabbed a water and smiled when it didn't
come loose "Found it!" she tugged it down and stepped back as
the cooler door swung open revealing a dimly lit staircase
heading down.

Div laughed quietly. "Just like in the movies." he said with
slight amusement in his voice.
"I wonder if there's something like this at the cafe. I'll have
to check." As he followed, he imagined himself picking up all
the different teas and cakes off of the display case at the
front. "...or maybe it'd be in the back..."
He continued to follow.

"I wonder what a cafe would hide in a hidden room. All I can
think of is cake recipes." she said as they descended down. The
staircase soon came to an end and opened up to a lip room filled
with shelves of various weapons and gear. Center of the room was
a large oak table, the surface covered in gun parts, knives and
cleaning supplies.
Thea looked around "There better be a reason someone is down
here, I'm doing inventory and don't have the patience to
haggle." the male voice seemed to drift from the back of the
basement, getting louder as it got closer. A large burly man in
his late 40's rounded the corner of one of the shelves, he stood
at 6'6" with short reddish brown hair and hazel eyes. The scowl
on his face quickly changed to a smirk when he caught sight of
Thea and Div "Ah little sky hopper, you haven't been by for some
time. Who's this, a lover of yours?" he asked. She rolled her
eyes "New partner. Div this is Leo, old man this is Div." she
said simply.

"Hey." Div said casually. Wow there were a lot of weapons down
here. Somehow, he doubted the cafe would have such a thing...
but that might be exactly why it would. He decided he'd let Thea
do the talking.
He spotted some small knives on a nearby counter and wondered
over to take a look.

"Really? You have't taken a partner since the whole Dimitri
thing. Well what can I do for you?" he took a seat at his table,
glancing over at Div to make sure he was fine wandering about.
"Dimitri was a bag of tricks and a jealous bean. I'm planning to
break into a Patriot lab and need floor plans for the building
beside it. Abandoned ones are your specialty." she said and
leaned against the table. "Tasers, rope, that thing to cut glass
and a grappling hook." she listed, picking up one of the guns on
the table.
The knives lining the counter were arranged by size, the smaller
ones to the far right while the larger ones were on the left.
Some were ornate, the blade made of different metals instead of
the standard blade metal, with decorative hilts.
