Vice crosses his arms and huffs. "why doesn't dark get head on
the head." he looks around the shop and a small smile creeps
across his face "it is homey isn't it.......it makes you
nostalgic huh? tell me about it"

Thea rolled her eyes "Because he's my boss." she said as thought
that were the obvious answer. "Mmm reminds of days when me and
my dad would make cookies. Then mom and Cassi would come inside
and eat them all....just silly stuff, before things turned
terrible and I ended up in Darks Alley."

She fiddled with a fork on the table and nodded "Yeah my older
sister." she smiled a bit. "I was 15 when I ended up in the
Alley. The day of my birthday and testing my sister drugged me
and sent me off to some crazy scientist. I was kept there and
experimented on, tortured, whatever else you can think of for a
bit of time and escaped. I couldn't go home because of Cassi and
just ended up in the Alley I guess. I was lucky enough to run
into a bunch of nice people who let me stay in there homes and I
learned some tricks of the trade. Lock picking, safely
parkouring and hacking from a nice old lady who left me her
apartment and stuff after she died." she set the fork down.
"My family searched for me...then one day the news reported them
dead. I can only assume it was those scientists I escaped from."
Thea shrugged. "I don't ever visit their graves. I just wish I
knew why my sister did it. I lost so much tin those few months,
my family, my trust in my powers, my home...but I try not to
dwell too much on it. I have you and Ego, ending up at the bar
those few years ago was a blessing you guys gave me back the
things I thought would be lost forever."

Vice smiles softly and looks around the diner. There was always
someone. Someone to protect them in the dark, and keep their
eyes on the light. " we are lucky huh? To have someone like
them" he says, nodding to brenner and his family.
Naya came from the back holding two plates. The one she sits in
front of thea is a cheesesteak sandwich almost a footlong with
sauteed onions and green peppers and a side of curly fries.
Vices plate was a triple stacked patty melt with three cheeses,
sauteed onions on toasted sour dough bread and a side of steak
fries. Vice doesnt waste anytime and digs right in, taking a
bite of his melt. " if youre dating him, i figured youre a girl
who can put some food away" naya says and rubs theas head. Vice
nearly chokes and coughs. " slow it down ji ji" brenna says and
brings over a pitcher of raspberry lemonade. He quickly pours a
cup and exhales deeply " maybe mom shouldnt presume things" he
mumbles. "Whats that dear?" naya says and looks at him smiling.
Chills ran down his spine, and he nervously shakes his head
"n-nothing". Naya continues to smile and rub theas head " dont
forget who taught you that leg lock". Vice contiues to eat while
keeping a frightened eye on naya.

Laughing she nearly choked on her food. Setting her sandwich
down she smiled "Someone who understands my eating habits, he's
always trying to trick me into healthy stuff." she said, pouring
herself a drink "And we aren't dating yet." she added, giggling
and enjoying her head being rubbed..

Naya laughs " ryoji has always been a fatty. He only recently
became a fitness freak about four years ago." between naya and
thea, vice was sure to die of embarrassment. His face turned a
burning red.

Thea held back her laughter "I'd love to see pictures of him
then." she said and poked Vice's leg with her foot. "Careful I
don't think your face can turn any redder."

little did thea know the power of embarrassment. at the mention
of photos, vices face somehow turned a shade darker "oh god" he
mumbles in dread as Naya laughs and happily goes in the back to
retrieve her precious photo album. "why have you forsaken me?"
he ask and rubs his face.

"Huh I was wrong your face can get darker." smiling she took
another bite of her sandwich. "If it makes you feel better I was
chubby as a kid." she offered.
