Back At Work (Cafe, Open, Day,After: A bit of a break in)

OOC: Previous thread: Thea's Apartment.
Div hung up his jacket and sighed. He had gotten a full night's
sleep, worke up, and had gotten more sleep, but he was still
tired for some reason. Maybe it was the craziness that had
happened the night before. If he was lucky, he'd hear something
more of what actually happened after he and Thea left the
building on fire.
He walked out from the break room at the cafe. Thankfully it
wasn't too busy this afternoon.
He scanned the cafe to see if anyone was waiting on someone to
help them.

One guest was sitting in the far back, his menu too high to see
his face. he seemed ready to order.

Div looked around and noticed someone in the far back of the
room. He casually approached, slightly put off by the secracy of
the person.
"Excuse me sir, are you ready to order.

the customer puts the menu down, revealing none other than the
young lieutenant Allabaster. "yeah i'd like an order of what the
hell were you two doing at that apartment. oh and a side of what
were those things that attacked and how did h the fire
start....hold the BS. im allergic too it"

Div took a step back at the abruptness of the man's questions.
Oh Crap! This was the officer guy from before!
"Ah, that." Div held up a finger in explanation. "I'm afraid the
person who prepares that first dish isn't in at the moment, but
I'm sure if I can rustle up a attorney, I can have that out for
you in a jiffy." he paused, not really knowing what he should
tell him. "As for the second question, that's a... good
question. No one really knows what those lizard things were. And
as for the fire, ... well that dish is out as well. Sorry,
could I interest you in some chocolate eclares instead? They're
fresh out the oven, and we've even got a special on them."
Div smiled and took a small step back.

he snaps and div could feel the overall aura of the diner
change. it was like every eye was on him. "you didn't think I'd
come here alone did you? especially with me not knowing exactly
what you are. I suggest you don't run....matter of fact" he
kicks the chair opposite him out and taps the table "take a
seat." he watches div with a careful eye.

Seriously? Div sighed and took a seat. So much for the ordinary
day.
He could feel the shift in tension and decided it'd probably be
a bad idea to run or attack. That didn't end well last time. All
these super humans with their magical powers; That always made
thigns more complicated.
Div put his elbows on the table.
"So you're telling me I DON'T have the right to an attorney?"

"Attorneys don't want to get caught up in the middle of these
things. especially with how patriots treat anyone against them."
Lloyd puts his hands in his pocket and stares Div down "So how
about a restock on those dishes I ordered? Who knows....If I
like them I might just forget I ever saw you"

Div tried to hide the smile at the continuous play on words
about the dishes. He leaned back in his seat.
"Look, I don't know a whole lot about this. All I know is that I
was to find some info in one of the rooms. I don't know what the
info was or exactly who stayed there. As soon as I got there,
there was this guy with a can of gasoline. I tried to stop him,
but he set the whole place on fire and released a whole bunch of
lizard things."
He decided to leave out Thea's involvement even though this
whole thing was her idea. She would owe him much more than a bag
of gummy worms for this. No need bringing in more details and
making things more complicated.

Lloyd looked him in his eyes. Nothing but silence hung on the
air for about five minutes ".......i believe you." he breaks eye
contact and looks back at his menu "those two were scientist
under the patriots. Ive tried to dig uo more but i keep getting
the run around. If he went through all of that, they must have
had some valuable info in that apartment."
