She didn't need him to say anything, just being there was
helping. She curled into him as he pulled her closer, making
herself small. The actions of the day were weighing heavily on
her now that she was no longer fighting for lives. A lump of
guilt and loathing had re-formed deep within her. She didn't
regret going to save Vandel, but still her hands were stained.
And a new power? She had thought she was done with that. It
wasn't like it wasn't a dangerous one too. What if she used it
subconsiously on someone? What if she got someone hurt? Or
forced them into something? What if it dictated her
relationships?
Trying to still the shaking she turned her face up to Vandel
with an small attempted smile. "S....sorry about that."

he gives her and curious look and then smiles back "no need to
be sorry about anything" he presses his forehead against hers

She gave him a warm smile and rested her head happily against
his,still somewhat curled into him. "I'm really glad for that.
I just....I didn't know I was capable of that. It scares me."

"I'd call you crazy if you weren't scared. When I realized I
couldn't die....a guy I assumed I could trust had killed me. I
laid their panting, my chest heaving as I thought ...'this is
the end for me. what's next?" he speaks softly to her since she
was so close. her skin was soft and her hair that brushed
against his face was even softer. she's just gone through the
ringer and she's still so beautiful. he thought to himself. the
pause in his words were quite noticeable as he adorned her
beauty. "where was I?"

She listened quietly as he spoke of his past, her hand tracing
over his chest for a moment as he wove the tale. Hearing how he
found out his abilities, she felt a knot twist in her chest.
Why did it always seem that they found their abilities at the
hardest times. Finding her original set of powers hadn't been a
lot more pleasant. She squeezed his hand softly, sympathizing
with the situation.
As the pause lingered in the air she watched his features, his
expression. She bit softly at the corner of her lip as he
looked at her. At his realization she smiled lightly. "You
were telling me how you found out about your abilities and that
its normal to be scared." she said, a slight twinkle in her
eye.

"oh, yeah...sorry I just...ya know...beautiful and all.." he
clears his throat to start again "uhm yes...as I lay there in my
thoughts. I realize that i've been staring into the same sky for
hours. And that either hell looked the same as life or I wasn't
dead." another pause as he lets his nose touch hers "since then
i've died over 1000 times.....and the fear that 'this time might
be the real time' never leaves my head. Im sorry, the story was
supposed to make you feel better but it seemed i just babbled on
with no moral in sight"

Her cheeks flushed a crimson at his first comment, and she
instinctively buried her face in his chest for a moment. As he
continued the story she watched him with soft eyes, and their
noses touched she smiled lightly.
She shook her head as he apologized. "Don't worry about that.
You did make me feel better. It's good to know I'm not the only
one who gets scared. After a night like tonight...where i know
i added to the blood on my hands...and might have opened
something inside of me I'm not sure I can handle. Its nice to
know I'm not alone."

She smiled warmly and rested her head against him. "Well that's
good. I just hope you're up for the challenge, as it seems
trouble has a tendency to follow me."
