Lyas apartment

A small 1 bedroom apartment at the top of an apartment complex.
The furnishings are minimal, but nice enough. A table with 2
chairs, a small couch, a tv, a computer on a desk, and a full
bed were the bulk of the furnishings.
At around 10pm Lya walks back into the apartment. She turns on
some water for tea before flopping on the couch.

Lya pushed open the door to the apartment. It was well past
midnight when she got home from darks bar. With a sigh she
pushed open the blinds and stared out into the darkness. "A
family...". She murmured softly glancing back at the empty room
eyes cloudy as thoughts raced through her head.

The sound of a knock stirred Lya to her senses. Seeing Adam
outside she tilted her head with a light look of confusion.
Pushing the window open slightly to allow him entry she gave a
small smile. She teased him slightly [Color=mediumpurple]
[I]"I don't think I would blame them. At a young woman's window
after dark?"

Adam climbed inside her apartment but stumbled and almost fell
at her words." I... I.... It's...." A shade of red quickly
appeared on his cheeks." You have a nice place." He said in an
attempt to change the subject.

A soft laugh escaped the girl at his reaction as she welcomed
him inside. Letting his change of topic slide she gave a warm
smile. [Color=mediumpurple] [I]"It's really not all that much,
but it's a place to call home at least."

The redness to his cheeks gradually went away. He leaned against
a wall and crossed his arms over his chest." That's why I like
it, not much but it's yours." He her a warm small smile." I like
you, Lya. So I'm going to be honest with you. I'm here to
convince you to join light's side. No BS, No lies."

She gave a fond look around the apartment. It definitely wasn't
much, but it had sheltered her through the most difficult time
of her life thus far, so it would always hold a place in her
heart. At lights next words her thoughts came screeching to a
halt. [Color=mediumpurple] [I]"You want me to what? That came
out of nowhere...."[/color] her complexion fell pale as her mind
reeled. Her actions that lead to the past year, the memories
before that action. [Color=Mediumpurple] [I]"I have been pretty
sure my path has been drenched in shadow since the moment my
parents discovered my abilities...."[/color]. She trailed off
her gaze finding the one picture she had of her family in the
corner of the room

He gave a small smile." Sorry, I'm not really subtle with things
like this." Adam ran his finger through his hair and sighed." I
won't pretend to know your past, but I know you can do some good
on either side. lm going tell you the things I know about Light
and if you feel like he's someone you can follow then so be it
but if you feel like you're better off with Dark that's fine as
well. I'm not here as light's right hand man, I'm here as your
friend"

The tension in the young woman's shoulders eased as he continued
his explanation. With it seeming like a less forceful thing
than she had expected she eased herself onto the couch and
motioned for him to sit. [Color=mediumpurple] [i]"All right.
I'm listening."
