a piece of paper to Thea and in the blink of an eye the girl and
her milkshake was gone.

Once the other girl left she eyed the piece of paper with a
frown. "Next time just go straight home after shopping." she
muttered, pocketing the paper she flipped her book open and went
back to reading.

About ten seconds later, the waiter (Div) returned with the
shortcake and tea. He frowned at the empty seat the once held
the other girl.
He turned to Thea. "sooo is she coming back or...." he then
noticed the missing glass. "...and where'd the glass go?" this
somewhat annoyed him. This wasn't the first time someone had
taken a special liking to the dishes and decided to give them a
new home.
he paused for a second.
"...She's not coming back is she?... And she took the glass...
Wow, great. ya know what? Forget, I don't even care." He sat the
tea and cake down on the table.
"Just lemme know if you need anything else."
He walked away from the table with a sigh. This day was not
going well. From the bus coming early to a kid spilling
chocolate milk on him... twice... to this. And then later he had
a nice long study session to look foward to in the Thomas study
hall place... perfect.

Thea watched him leave and shook her head "Damn it Mona." she
muttered already foreseeing this being her common phrase if she
kept in contact with the other girl. She finished her muffin and
tea and wondered what to do with the cake as she began counting
out money for the bill and a $15 tip for the server.

Some minutes later he came back he returned to collect the empty
glass and platter.
He looked at the cake. "You want a box for this?" he asked,
handing her the bill. he then noticed the money set aside in the
"TIP HERE" area of the table. "is this... for me?" he was
somewhat shocked. No one had ever tipped him that much before.
"Th-thanks."
This would surely come in handy later.

"Yeah I'll take the cake to go." she said, though she wasn't a
huge fan of strawberry cake she'd find something to do with it.
Sighing she rubbed the back of her head "And yeah, the least I
could do after my...associate ran off with your cup. Sorry for
the bit of trouble."

Div nodded and smiled. "It's cool. I'll get a box for the cake."
He walked away for a moment and came back with the box. "Here ya
go." he said and turned. He was about to walk away when he
turned his head back to her. "Oh and no worries about the glass.
I get around so if I see, I'll ask her about it."
he started walking away. "Thanks for comin'."

Thea boxes up the cake and grabbed the rest of her bags. She
figured she had enough time to nap before heading to the club.
"Hm maybe someone at work will want this cake." she thought and
headed off.
