Cafe Break

In the heart of downtown sat a lovely cafe, nestled between a
book shop and clothing store making it a prime spot for reading
or taking a break from shopping. A young woman was seated at
table near the cafes window, she was dressed in dark blue jeans
and a gray tank top. Long black hair was rustled by the breeze
causing her to brush the stray strands back behind her ear as
she looked over the menu. Every so often her dark blue eyes
would scan the area, though she looked relaxed she was almost
always uncomfortable in areas like this but she needed groceries
and the ones near her house weren't known for upstanding quality
on produce.
Finally deciding on her order, Thea set the menu down and waited
for one of the waiters to come by. Until then she reached down
into one of the few bags around her feet and pulled out a dark
blue book, on the cover was silver script reading "The Art of
Control!".

As a slight wind yet again blows it carried something with it
that seemed to only be a lone piece of paper yet the paper
calmly landed in the seat across from her. Though it wasn't a
paper anymore but a person. A girl with stringy dark teal hair.
Mix matched eyes looked at the girls book then at Thea. "So
how's the reeeeeading ?" a innocent voice said to her.

Money... is that what it was about? Not quite, but he figured
it'd be a good way to gage who was in the city. Ya know, just to
be safe. So he figured it'd be a good idea to take a job at the
cafe.
Noticing that the woman had placed her menu back on the table,
he approached her.
"so" he said in a non entertained voice, "what can I get..." he
paused when he noticed another girl sitting across from her. he
swore she wasn't there before. "...both of you." he said, lowing
an eye brow.

The girl smiled and looked at the man. "Hmmm I take a Strawberry
shortcake with a strawberry milkshake Pleeeeeeease and thank you
"

Her eyes had noticed the paper but paid it no mind as she went
back to her reading the book nearly flew out her hand when the
girl spoke. Thea narrowed her eyes at the girl about to question
her but was interrupted by the waiter. "Mint tea and a chocolate
muffin please." she said and turned her attention back to girl.

The girl folded her hands under her chin and tilted her head and
continued to smile lightly. "Sooooo how's the Reading?"

"uh-huh. Mint tea, chocolate muffin, strawberry shortcake,
strawberry other thing., got it."
He looked at the strawberry girl for a moment. She was...
intriguing to say the least. A small part of him felt a small
point of guilt at his attitude. "...Sorry. Strawberry shortcake
and milkshake. Got it."
He wrote these down and started his exciting journey back to the
kitchen.

"Who are you and what do you want?" She asked instead. She
folded the page of her book and set it down.

"I'm not particularly fond of people who just show up
unannounced, do not answer my questions and somehow know my
name." Thea replied. She sighed mentally and made a note to find
a new area to shop. "Now who are, what do you want and why do
you k ow my name?!".
