What are you doing this weekend?

[glow=red,2,300]What are you doing this weekend?[/glow]
Tell us the fun stuff you have planned....
Ok... so it was kind of fun, but also it was hotterNHell and
       hard work.
I've been getting my blank back yard prepped for a change. Not a
big change... yet. Like the Patio and deck change coming. This
is just improving the grounds, because quite frankly just mowing
it no fun and nothing to look at is worse.
Part of my 13 year goal is to grow some big trees, to hide my
neighbors ugly ass yards and to landscape the phuck out of it.
So beginning of spring, I started to kill the grass. Well, my
first attempt was with tarps. Ya know, cutting out the sun and
letting it die. Well, that's didn't work. In fact the conditions
were so good for the grass, that it grew twice as fast as the
rest. Kind of a green house effect.
So I took that out and used grass killer. That took about 3
       weeks to do it's work.
Then I dug a little natural ditch to cut the grass from the
       landscaping. Nice clean look...

My wife could not wait and added the faux Chihuly

       glass art by the trees.
       Next...
Was ordering 20 yards of Compost. That is a lot of freakin'
compost. Between my wife and I and the help of our neighbor for
an hour, we were able to cover all the landscape area. We still
had about 1/3 of the pile in our drive.

and my wife couldn't take it not more and had to have color. So
with a gift card we set out with idea's in our head of plants,
color and arrangements. It was fun. It was hot. My wife using a
yellow, orange and red theme, I think we did pretty good.

So this is just the beginning. The Japanese Maple

/>in the back corner will fill 'out' and take prominence as a
focal point for the corner. The Autumn Blaze Maple

/>directly back will grow big and hide the neighbors as will the
