Clive Owen's schedule might not allow for a return. Devon
Aoki's not returning because she's preggers. That sorta thing
happens.
Can't wait to see more Hartigan.

[glow=red,2,300]Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta & Juno Temple board Sin
City: A Dame to Kill For[/glow]
Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is
naturally one of the movies we’re most looking forward to seeing
this year.
Rodriguez returns behind the camera with Frank Miller for the
sequel to the cult classic 2005 original film, based on Miller’s
series of comics.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt recently joined the project as one of the
leads, Johnny. Josh Brolin is also newly cast as Dwight, played
by Clive Owen in the original, with the character undergoing
facial reconstruction (hence the new casting).
And now The Playlist report that a trio of roles have now been
cast, with Jeremy Piven, Ray Liotta, and Juno Temple all
boarding the project.
I’m a huge fan of Piven’s in particular, and love everything
that I’ve seen Liotta and Temple in as well, and can’t wait to
see them join the already-exceptional cast at the end of the
year.
Starring alongside Gordon-Levitt, Brolin, Piven, Liotta, and
Temple will be Jessica Alba, Jamie Chung, Mickey Rourke, Jaime
King, Michael Madsen, Rosario Dawson, and Dennis Haysbert. And
with a bit of luck, we might get to see Bruce Willis and Clive
Owen reprise their roles from the original, too.
Rodriguez and Miller are once more co-directors on the project,
with the duo penning the script alongside William Monahan (The
Departed).
Filming has already begun, with production kicking off back in
October last year. But with Rodriguez and Miller once more
making good use of green screens, there’s no need to be
concerned that Piven’s, Liotta’s, or Temple’s roles will be
minor. Their roles are currently being kept under wraps, but are
very much something to look forward to.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be hitting theatres on 4th
October this year, and you can bet it’s going to be one of the
best films of the autumn/fall. More as we get it.
That quote must be old given that it hopes Bruce Willis returns,
which already has been confirmed as a Yes.

Yea, I noticed that too. So let's see if this materializes.

[glow=red,2,300]Jessica Alba confirms she’ll be dancing again in
Sin City 2[/glow]
As you might remember, Alba’s character Nancy Callahan,
is an exotic dancer, with her Stetson-sporting bump-and-grind
routine proving one of the highlights of the first film.
And since this next film will pick up before the events of the
original, Callahan will be taking to the stage again, in a scene
that’s likely to become another fanboy favourite.
“I had to learn a bunch of dance sequences for it,” reveals
Alba, adding that she needed three months training to prepare
for the role. “I do a lot more dancing in this one. It was kind
of crazy. It was very, very difficult, and you'll see why.”
Directed by Robert Rodriguez and co-starring Josh Brolin, Mickey
Rourke and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For
will open in the US on 4 October 2013.
She better drop it all and be faithful to the comic. No more PG

I was definitely thinking that after the fake boobage in Machete
2, if they manage to get the motion right (it was basically a
still in Machete), we may just see that...

Other than writing and "co-directing" this with Rodriquez,
exactly how involved in the movie is Frank Miller? I've not
heard a peep or a tweet or anything from the man since the movie
started principal photography. I do wonder if Frank is only on
set as a "script supervisor".

here's some Frank Miller involvement...
Apparently it’s not just the fans who lost faith in the
Sin City sequel during the lengthy gap between the two films.
Said star Jessica Alba in a recent interview:
I think like every six months to a year it was like “We’re
going to do it, when’s the next one coming? Oh yeah, we’re going
to do it. We’re going to do it. We’re going to do it.” And then
at a certain point it was just like OK, I just didn’t believe
it. It was like “We’re going to start in the summer, we’re going
to start in the fall” but then when we actually got the start
date and I was there on the set it was like a dream.
Like the last film, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will feature
several distinct but overlapping storylines. While some of the
plot arcs were adapted from Frank Miller‘s graphic novels, Alba
revealed that hers had been written just for the movie.
Well this is– mine is an original story so there wasn’t a
lot to base it off of, but Frank has been drawing. So it’s just
crazy. It was neat to see their process, Robert and Frank’s, and
their collaboration and what they inspire from each other and
get out of each other and what they’re creating. It’s really
like the 2.0 version of Sin City and it’s pretty amazing.
Alba concluded, “It’s going to be rad.” Sin City: A Dame to Kill
For opens October 2.
rad? did she really say that?
