I liked the idea of Vincent on a road trip with his two goons
and then having to 'rough it' once their car breaks down. But it
was the torture scene of Deputy Jack Lamb at the hands of Rizzo
that had the biggest impact on the show, especially when Jack
shoots and kills Mia's father. This is going to have major
consequences for sure.

Now I see how the writers went about crafting their little arc
and it's perfect too. When the show first started, I often
wondered which of the Lamb's would fall prey to Vincent and now
we know. Now that Jack is going out of his way to keep the news
from Mia that he shot and killed her father and tampering with
evidence to his involvement, this gives Vincent the pressure he
has been looking for to basically have a cop in his back pocket.
It's just a question of how far down the rabbit hole will Jack
go to keep his secret...a secret.

A couple of surprising things went down in this one. For one, I
didn't think Jack would confess to Mia...or anyone for that
matter so soon. I figured that they would milk if for all it's
worth with Vincent putting the screws to him. Didn't happen. The
other thing that was surprising was seeing Ralph destroying
evidence to protect Jack's involvement in the killing. One fun
fact was the addition of Shawn Doyle. Fans of Dennis Quaid's
underrated Frequency

/>will recognized him as the Nightingale Serial Killer.

Added Episode 16: Little Fish
I forgot to add Episode 15 and that was 2 months ago. I can't
remember anything about that one. So, no review. Sue me.

Nice for the series to return. It took them long enough. Sheesh!
Looks like Mia is starting to take after her father. But then
again, anyone that is threaten with with prison time will
respond in kind when they find out that rat that's gonna send
them up the creek. Looks like they are finally giving Yvonne
(Aimee Garcia) something of a story line that isn't just file
papers for the Sheriff. Looks like they are setting her up to be
a singer. First stop.....Hollywood.

I liked that this episode and story was split between Vegas and
Hollywood. Who doesn't love Hollywood stuff? I had been banging
my head trying to place the actress that plays Violet and it
finally hit me that it was Anna Camp, who I know primarily from
The Mindy Project. I had heard she asked out of that show and my
guess its because she wanted to come onto Vegas full time. She
was downgraded to a recurring character and TMP, so it remains
to be seen how much face time she will get on Vegas.
The other cool thing about this episode in particular saw
Melinda Clarke joining the ranks as Mia's presumed-dead mother.
I didn't even know that she was coming on Vegas, especially
since she already has a gig as Amanda on Nikita. Hey, I won't
object to seeing her more on both shows and that's a GOOD thing.
