Why do I continue to put myself through this? I'm always giving
shows a chance and liking a majority of them only to have them
pull the rug out from under me.
Sigh.

I think I'm gonna have to reevaluate my watching habits asap. I
just don't think it's worth it anymore to give new shows any
more of my time. Unless it's something I have been waiting a
long time to see get made, I see no point in tuning in. I might
as well just wait for the DVD releases so that I'll know by the
time it's on DVD what the status of said show is.

Ya know, I think you're bringing forward a very important idea.
In a way, I've been on the cusp of that kind of TV viewing.
First, do I invest my time? 2nd, how do I watch it if I do want
to get vested in it.
Our viewing habits are changing. Even this old mans habits after
years of viewing a certain way. The younger generation brings a
whole new spin.
I'll bet a quite a bit could be written about this.
Now are the networks listening or watching?

Well, for me Hulu was a Godsend. It freed me from the hostage
mentality of having to watch shows on TV at THEIR time. With
Hulu, the power shifted to me. I could watch whatever show I
wanted at my own pace. But soon it became a double edge sword.
Freeing up a lot of time and being able to work and watch at the
same time, I was now able to watch even more shows (i.e. new
shows). That's where my problem comes from and where I'm at now.
With all these new shows I'm watching, I've opened myself up to
being disappointed by the Networks for prematurely canceling
some high quality shows. This is just the latest round of shows
to bite the dust. Like I said, time to change it up for me so
that I don't continue going down this road.

This should have been a huge episode, but the writer chose to go
down the path of obscuring as much detail as possible about Jane
and the Staircase aftermath. Drugging her for an entire hour at
the hospital was boring, even if she did "talk" to someone else
that experienced the same thing she is going through. I did like
that they showed Alexis to be the muse of Brian and that he
can't write when they are apart. None of this is gonna matter
now that the show has been cancelled.

I liked this episode a lot. It was different in that they had
Jane "time travel" back to the day to witness the murder of the
woman that basically saved Jane's grandmother's life. I thought
that having Whoopi Goldberg as the one that helps Jane go back
in time was a nice inside joke. For those of you that have short
memories, Whoopi played a similar character in the movie Ghost.
I also thought the twist at the end of the episode was great and
one that I didn't see coming at all. Having Laurel turn out to
be Sasha, the daughter of Gavin and Olivia, who was believed to
be the victim of suicide was a nice touch.
