I agree, a great episode and opening to the season. I was
worried that they wouldn't be able to capture the same feel as
the first season, but they started it off right. However, it
has very similar aspects to ALIAS in how it has evolved, but I
loved ALIAS so this doesn't bother me.

I'm a huuuuuuuuuge fan of Alias. But you do realize that a
loooooooot of the story arcs and characters were cribbed from
the La Femme Nikita right? Even though there are a ton of
blatant rip-offs, it really didn't bother me because it was
still a fun show to watch.

Peter Outerbridge

Solid episode that brings along 2 characters that were kind of
in the "background" and suddenly turns the show into another
direction. The first twist is that Birkhoff who more or less
wants nothing to do with Nikita and Michael or their fight
against Division, suddenly is faced with a choice of letting an
innocent girl played by Julie McNiven, who happens to be a
sleeper assassin, take the fall for Division's doings or help
her reclaim her life back. He goes with the later, thus turning
Nikita and Michael's fight into his own. The second twist is
that of Owen (Devon Sawa), who returns to help the gang track
down Dr. Mars, the man behind P9 and also the one who can help
him detox from the serum that he created.
But the best twist obviously comes at the end when we see that
Owen is now working for Ari Tasarov (Peter Outerbridge)the
leader of Gogol. Yikes. This sh*t is getting good. Downside, not
a whole lot of Alex to be found here. Bah!!

Yeah, I was wondering where this season would go after Michael
and Nikita were on the run, but I like the addition of Berkhoff
who was always more aligned with Nikita it seemed, joining the
team. The show is progressing nicely, and it is a great
replacement for Smallville.

Knightfall

This show just keeps getting better and better with each new
episode. They are really firing on all cylinders right now. In
Knightfall we are seeing more and more how Alex decisions are
clouded by her thirst for revenge against not only Nikita, but
the man that led to the murder of her father. With her hellbent
on exacting out her own form of justice, I'm even more convinced
now that come the finale, she will have to work with Nikita and
Michael in busting Percy out of lock up. I'm gonna have a lot of
egg on my face if this doesn't pan out the way I'm stating.

The ending had a great cliffhanger with Alex seemingly
delivering the kill shot on her target. But I think this is just
misdirection in that she was shooting at someone else and not
the intended target. We shall see.....
Did Birkhoff show actual emotion at realizing that Michael had
survived the blast?

/>That old softy. It's safe to say that he really does like bein
g
part of Nikita and Michael's fight. I guess you can say that
this episode was also pivotal in they finally revealed Nikita's
last name: Meers. When I heard this, I nearly fell out of my
chair. It was so random and unexpected.

Roan returns to help Alex track down Nikita who in turn is
helping Kelly (Katheryn Winnick), a former Division agent who
espacped from prison who Gogol had in fact orchestrated her
escape to lure Nikita into revelaing the whereabouts of the
Black Box.
Got all that?
No? All you need to know is that this episode rocks!
Now that Alex knows that Gogol is after her, the safest place
for her is in the clutches of Division who can protect her. It
looks like Alex is back on Team Nikita, kinda. She didn't run
off with them, but she did help Nikita and Michael escape. It's
just a matter of time before the three of them, four if you
count Birkhoff, break Percy out of his little glass box.
Getting back to Katheryn Winnick, I know her best from Bones,
who played the love interest opposite of Seely Booth. But when I
first saw her in this episode, even though I knew her from
somewhere, it took a while for me to be able to place her face.

Even though Cassandra insisted that her son Max was 4 years old,
I knew she was lying and that he was in fact Michael's son. And
now that Nikita has put the pieces together and figured out Max
is his son, she has a big decision to make: Tell him or keep it
a secret to protect the family. Staying quiet is the noble thing
when safety is at stake, but when Michael learns that Nikita
didn't tell him Max is his son, he will take this as betrayal
which more than likely will fracture their relationship.
Would this be enough to turn him back to Division? Who knows.
Not sure what's going on with Percy at the end. When Amanda gave
him the suit to wear, I figured it was because he was being
prepped to go on assignment out in the field. But I guess that
wasn't the case and it was more of a creature comfort as his
reward for giving Amanda intel. I dunno.
