Personally I don't know anything about those two specific
brands. Boyinblack may have a better idea of where to go as far
as something for outdoor use. He's on vacation and won't be back
till the end of the week, but I will shoot him a note as a
reminder to chime in.

For $600 you could hire me to play banjo on your porch.
So for complete mindless fun and zero value but to please
my visual senses, I ordered the HypnoCube
So I got this baby and it is exactly what I thought. It is kind
of hypnotizing. And it looks way better in darker rooms. Duh.
I didn’t tell my wife. I let her discover it on her own. She
‘really’ liked it. She likes shiny things. Until I told her how
much it costs. She could not justify getting one for herself in
her office.
But I planted the seed. I’m slowly figuring that out.
Another seed I planted is my wife doesn’t like wood. She’s a
contemporary interior designer and wood is not only foreign but
kind of frowned on. She asked me to get rid of everything I had
made of wood, which was just about everything. I still maintain
the benefits of wood, so we have back and forth on some items.
For instance our new bed has now some wood. Granted it’s painted
black and pretty much defeats the point, but it is a seed.
The other seed I planted is an Adirondack chair. These are the
classic and iconic chairs you see on porches and lawns. They are
deceivingly comfortable. I’ve mentioned them several times I
would like a few on our deck or patio. Since she saw they are
made of wood and about as un-contemporary as you can get, she
never bought into it.
Until she sat in a nice one on our vacation. The seed was
planted.
Now she is considering them, especially since she saw they can
be painted in any color, particularly in bright colors.
It just takes some time I guess on some things.

So to catch you up... the beginning of the summer after much
research and testing things out, I decided on Brookstone's
Outdoor wireless Speaker
HTML http://www.brookstone.com/indoor-outdoor-wireless-speakers?bkiid=featured_product_zone|hmpg|main|speakers|497362p
It works perfectly. When we started the landscaping, I put it
way in the corner of the yard and we heard music perfectly
through the day listening to Pandora. If one minus, while
listening to music, the iPad's time is being used. I guess I
could find another source... but for now it's not a big deal.
The bass boost is fine. And the loudness is more than enough.
It's not a rock concert. It's music for the background.
We used it the other night on one of first beautiful evenings.
Flawless and the blue glow was rather icing on the cake.

This kids demo really helped me focus on checking out
Brookstones product. I did not know they've been doing this
speaker for years.

Also suddenly last week we needed a camera for an event, I
discovered my camera crapped out. It would take pictures, but
the view screen didn't work, so it was like cross your fingers
and hope you have it in view. That's just dumb.
So Best Buy had and ad for a Canon similar to what I had for
$149. I went to Wal-mart first to see if they had something
competitive. I ran across a slightly more expensive Olympus. I
liked what I saw.
So I went next door to Best Buy, saw a comparable Olympus
(VR-350) the same price as the bulky Canon. Tested it out, read
reviews and I was hooked. Picked that puppy up and am more than
happy with my amateur needs for taking photogs.
I just found out it can take 3D and a variety of other cool
little bells and whistles. For $149, I'm happy.

The 3D was a kick in the head. It's easy to shoot and simply the
Red/Blue glasses. On the little screen it's cool. Wonder what it
looks like on the big screen... or if I can share it here?
Hmmmmmm
