Guess what the last movie was that I saw at the Cove Theater.
       It was...
       [spoiler]
...My Bodyguard with Adam Baldwin, Chris Makepeace, Martin Mull,
Ruth Gordon, Joan Cusack and Matt Dillon. It was and still is an
awesome movie! Must watch that tonight!!!!

Good call on Pacific Drive-In. It was too obvious that I began
       questioning it's legitimacy. Bah!!

was bummed when they closed the Cove.
I was really hoping La Jolla as a community would realize the
importance of keeping an old landmark.
       but nope.
now it's a furniture store as you said, that sells...pretty
       ugly stuff mostly.

I don't put much stock in what La Jolla does. They save those 2
Red Houses by the Cove (not the theater, but just off the park
down by the shores) as National Landmarks and then let sit alone
collecting dust. They don't even bother to do anything with the
landscape to make it at least presentable.
If there was one thing worth saving in La Jolla, it was the Cove
Theater. I may not have gone to a lot of movies at the
particular location, but it was always a thrill for me to see it
when I went by it on foot or by car. It was nice knowing that it
       was still there.

yeah those red shacks just sit...it would cost so little to do
some proper landscaping around them...they have been sitting and
rotting the last 17 years...I know because I used to walk past
them every day when I worked in La Jolla...it's pretty
disgusting how cheap rich people are
       :)

I went by the Full Moon Drive-In last night (Sunday) and it was
dark. It wasn't even open for business. I'm guessing that since
school is back in full swing that Sunday's aren't financially
viable with kids having to be up at the crack of dawn the next
morning. It's still a little disconcerting that already they are
scaling back to just Friday and Saturday's now.
       *Sigh*

       that movie is the shit.
they should have kicked off summer with that one...scare the
crap out of everyone all summer with thoughts of fucking jaws
       swimming around out there.
       worked for me
I still hate the ocean because of that movie...some 30 years
       later!

Agreed it should have been the movie to kick off Summer with.
