Jaws is still one of THE scariest movies of all time.
I am going to be slammed for the next 2-3 weeks
unfortunately...if I have any hope of getting through this full
issue of detective I am going to have to dig in big time...
it's worth it though...I really want to do the full issue if I
       can.

Why wouldn't you be doing the entire issue? They gonna farm
       pages out to other inkers?

I loved this theater!!! This wasn't in PB, but over in Mission
Valley which is just a 10 minute drive from PB. I have a lot of
fond memories of this theater. The two films I remember most
about this one is that this is where I saw Star Wars for the
first time. Twice on the same day actually. Ended up seeing Star
Wars 4 times at the same theater during its initial run. The
other movie that I remember seeing here was The Karate Kid. I
remember walking through the lobby after the movie was over and
begging my Mom to let me take karate lessons. Hi-ya!! What was
really cool about this location is that just half a parking lot
away (to the left of this picture) was another theater called
Cinema 21 which had the biggest single screen in San Diego at
the time. I will post a pic of that when I can dig through and
find a suitable picture to my liking.
They don't make 'em like they use to. Now it's all Multiplex
       theaters.

I saw Star Wars there too...and I believe Raiders of the Lost
Arc....I also saw Phantom Menace there which I believe was the
       last film I saw there....
great theater was very sad to see it go.

I saw Raiders Of The Lost Arc at the Grossmont Theater, which
for me is STILL the granddaddy of all movie houses. I have never
been in a more lush, surreal environment for a movie. It made
Raiders even better than you could possibly imagine. Yes, I saw
it twice there on opening day too! Haha! I've searched online
looking for a pic or two of the original Grossmont Theater,
sadly there are none to be found. Bah!! I saw a few Bond films
       there as well.

FYI, I'm sure you remember this, but Valley Circle was the ONLY
place in San Diego showing Star Wars, which made the lines
       ungodly long!!!

Even though this theater isn't in my town or even in my city (it
be in Hollywood, California), I still wanted to give a shout out
to Grauman's Chinese Theatre since I have seen a movie there.
But for the life of me I can't remember what movie it was. This
was after all back around 1980 or something when I went there.

Ah-ha!!!! Now I remember what movie it was. It was Time After
Time with Malcolm McDowell. I started visualizing the props they
had outside the main door of the theater and one of the props
was the actual Time Machine used in the movie. So, I wasn't that
far off in placing the year. The movie came out in 1979. Take
       THAT failing memory!!!!!

I still think they should tear down the condo's and put back the
original Drive-In just off the Freeway.
