They're gonna be catching up to what... 3 years of Ipad
penetration. Also still looking like a wannabe.
And remember, one of the key things about the Ipad are the Apps
and the App store. If Microsoft can tackle and improve that,
then let's talk... maybe.

Yeah, they are too far behind to make an immediate dent. The
only option would be to have a very cheap entry price point
because right now, if they are both priced the same, the iPad
will easily take the trophy based on name recognition alone.

[glow=red,2,300]The iPad Is Three Years Old Today – Let's Now
Stand In Awe Of How It Has Changed The World[/glow]
HTML http://static5.businessinsider.com/image/5105390eeab8ea4b5d00003c-650/steve-jobs-introduces-the-ipad.jpg
[quote]Three years ago today, on January 27, 2010, Steve Jobs
stood on a stage in San Francisco.
First he talked about how Apple invented the modern laptop in
1991 and revolutionized the smartphone with the iPhone in 2007.
Then he asked: "Is there room for a third category of device in
the middle? Something that's between a laptop and a smartphone?"
After trashing an existing category of devices – the netbook –
Jobs's tone of voice changed. It grew hushed and fervent.
And then he said: "We think we've got something that is. We'd
like to show it to you today for the first time. And we call
it…the iPad."
The world hasn't been the same since.

Never owned, let alone played with an iPad. I've yet to be
changed.

Depends on your needs... And wants. It is liberating for me not
have to go up to the 2nd floor to my office. To carry this
around just about anywhere is so freeing.

I get the practical use of freedom which is really the only
selling point for me. I just haven't really found an ideal use
for getting one though because I'm pretty much glued to working
from home.

I played with one a little bit. It was cute. But honestly, it
IS a toy, it's to be enjoyed. I usually work with my tech,
scanning or filing or drawing or that sort of thing. If I want
to watch movies, I have a much better selection on my Laptop,
and that screen stays up on its own.
What we need to be sold on, I think, is all the stuff the iPad
can do that the regular computer can't. The iPad is for when
you don't have your computer with you, but I think we're all
guys who always have their laptops with them... or are capable
of restraining by techno-urges while I'm out in public and meant
to do things.
I remember the first Comic-Con I went to after the iPad came out
and people were using them at their tables to show off their
artwork, that was kinda cool, the colours were more vibrant and
they could show many more things. That kind of use, but it'd
need a couple dozen more to make it worth my interest.

I think you'll get it without the English...
