After a few dark episodes, this one was a bit more
light-hearted, minus the brutal stabbing to open the episode up
with. For this one, Danny commits himself into a hospital in the
hopes that he can bring down Mob Boss Joe Collado (Val Bisoglio)
who is rumored to be using the insanity plea to keep himself out
of Prison. As always, Danny uses his family as backup to gain
access to places that are off-limits. In this case, what better
way to do that than having Chance perform magic tricks. The
entire episode itself is based on magic and misdirection as we
see a flashback from Danny and Barbara's past as magicians as
part of their sting operation to nab Mickey 'Eggman' Sparks
(Paul Hayes) who after years in prison is released and somehow
winds up at the same hospital.

Even though the Arno Family could never catch Collado lying
about the insanity plea, the ending of the episode can be
interpreted in that he pulled off the ultimate misdirection with
what he does at the very end. Ha. Clever...and funny. Or what
Danny would call the "Screw you wink".

Bazooka Joe tells the entire story in flashback as Chance has to
recount to Detective Ramone (Kay Lenz) and Sergeant Bonner (Obba
Babatundé) to explain how he blew his and his family's cover and
the bodies of his parents and sisters found at the crime
scene...

...which resulted from Danny trying to get in tight with a known
murderer and gun runner by unloading Bazooka's. Everything was
working all according to plan till Chance innocently let slip
that he wasn't Italian which was part of his cover story. The
gang, now aware they were being set up by the Arno Family and
the Feds, look for payback by blowing up their house.

With their cover now blown, the family has no choice but to once
again relocate elsewhere. Destination: Salt Lake City, Utah. A
lot of Bazooka Joe was shot down at the San Diego Marina. But
there wasn't any clear landmarks worth getting a Screen Cap of.

So what's the first thing that the Arno Family does once they
get settled into Utah? They fight for their lives now that a
disgruntled government employee is out to take down Danny by
framing him to be corrupt and stealing money and taking bribes.
To add insult to injury, Danny's brother Frank is released from
prison and shows up on his doorstep. But it's when he finds out
that he is working with the Feds to build their case against
Danny that sets him off.

Graham Greene

This was not one of my favorite episodes of the series. The mall
scene between Celeste (Cameron Richardson) and her new friend
Robin was the epitome of bad, over-acting where they both had to
cry on cue to make it more "dramatic". The line reading was
just...weird. Cameron does a pretty good job with the rest of
the cast, namely the Arno Family, but here it was like a train
wreck.
The cases themselves were kind of boring with Danny and Chance
tailing a potential ped0phile and Barbara and Ruby looking into
Robin's past to discover that her mother is a member of the Most
Wanted club.
The episode wasn't a complete loss since Graham Greene popped
up, albeit in a very small role as Michael Nighthorse. Also,
Chance's imitation of Marlon Brando's famous 'Stella' scene was
pretty funny and I couldn't help but keep from grinning.

I remember the series having some pretty noticeable continuity
issues. Some are more forgivable than others, but not in this
case. I actually forgot to bring this up a couple of episodes
back. In Episode 8: The Fever Flip
HTML http://pennycan.createaforum.com/tv's-greatest-hits-and-misses/cover-me-(season-1-entire-series)/msg4408/#msg4408,<br
/>Danny's prized car meets it's untimely demise when Kerry Fever
blows up his car in the Trade Winds Motel parking lot beyond
repair. But then a couple of episodes after the fact, he can be
seen driving the same car without so much as a scratch. Not only
is he driving it, but it's able to make it's way to Utah as seen
in the ScreenCap below.

This was a fantastic episode revolving around the destruction of
the Arno Family. Even a family that seems to be picture perfect
has it's flaws and they came out here when Danny and Barbara get
divorce as part of their sting operation to nail an Arsonist
(Cameron Watson). But things never go the way it's expected to
with these guys.
[move]*SPOILERS*SPOILERS*SPOILERS*SPOILERS*SPOILERS*SPOILERS*SPO
ILERS*[/move]
Somehow the Arsonist has a Partner (Kris Kamm) who does
contract-for-hire jobs to get rid of "problems", the target
being Barbara which obviously puts her and the kids in a great
deal of danger. The entire episode dealt with how the job at
times seems to become the focus and they lose sight of what's
really important: Family. This episode was one of the better
ones in the series. Great job all around from acting, writing
and editing. It's not all doom and gloom though as there are a
few instances of comedic levity.
