You know, when the story first broke that he was fired, my mind
just automatically filled in the rest..."He was fired because he
had one too many losing seasons...." That's how I saw it and
just mentally signed off and wasn't really paying attention to
what the story was, even with all the articles popping up. It
wasn't till a friend ask me if I heard about Joe and he quiclkly
filled me in on the allegations of sexual abuse regarding his
assistant coach and what he may or may not have known about it
himself. What the f*ck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya, this has nothing to do with football or legacy. This is
about one of the worst crimes humans can do to another,
physically, mentally and morally. Paterno knew about this and
that makes him a monster too. What the board did was more than
appropriate and I hope the law steps in and brings more justice.
I do not get defending or finding excuses for this asshat.
And I do not understand the students rioting. Dumb****s.

Looks like Ashton had the same "fill-in-the-blanks" brain fart
that I did when the story broke. Only difference is that I
wasn't dumb enough to comment on it before hearing the entire
story.

No great loss for either one.
I cannot believe what this lawyer is allowing to happen. Don't
care, if this puts Unca Jerry in the slammer (really deserves
the full treatment - concrete shoes) faster, so be it.
I'm leaning towards the thought of cleaning out the whole
(football) institution. Penn State is going to pay dearly for
this if it just slowly goes on. Unca Jerry is the tip of the
iceberg. I think we are going to see more revealing stuff by
administration that's just going to blow this open more.

This seems like the PR handlers of Joe Pa and family are doing
spin control by dropping the C-Bomb to change the subject of
child abuse to his illness. I just find it a little suspect of
how and when they revealed the news so as to generate sympathy
for him and not dwell on the scandal.
