Saints Of Los Angeles is the first Mötley Crüe album with the
original 4 since 1997. It is loosely based on their book The
       Dirt
  HTML http://pennycan.createaforum.com/books/the-dirt-confessions-of-the-world's-most-notorious-rock-band-motley-crue/.<br
/>This is a return to roots record. Well, more along the lines
       of
Girls. Girls, Girls. Gone are any hints of alt-rock and back in
is hard rock for the boys. It's a great record, but far from
perfect. I haven't really listened to Saints all that much since
picking it up. It really doesn't have what I would call true
classic Crüe songs on par with their bigger hits ala Looks That
Kill, Dr. Feelgood, etc...I will have to let this one soak in
for awhile to see if any of my fave songs on here turn into
       classics for me.
Fave Songs: Saints Of Los Angeles, The Animal In Me, Chicks =
       Trouble and White Trash Circus
       Album cover is.....I dunno. Blah.

Decade Of Decadence is the first of many Greatest Hits
collections to come. This one is ok, but far from being top
shelf, even when it came out. Not a fan of remixes when it
replaces the originals. I want a set that contains the original
masters and not reinventions. It's a hodgepodge of songs which
included 3 new songs: Primal Scream, Angela and Anarchy In The
U.K., all of which were the main reasons for me picking this one
up back in the day. Home Sweet Home ('91 Remix) is ok, but I
       still prefer the original though.
Fave Songs: Primal Scream and Anarchy In The U.K. The album
cover uses images of the band to convey a timeline of their
entire career up to that point. Nice.

Greatest Hits is a much better collection to my ears. Gone are
the remixes (save for Glitter) and in are the original master
hits. Two new songs were added to entice buyers into getting
this one. It worked for me as the only reason for me to get this
was for Bitter Pill and Enslaved. Trouble maker Tommy Lee was in
the clink at the time of the recording for the new songs and is
not the drummer of either song.
Fave Songs: Bitter Pill and Enslaved. The album cover is cool as
I'm always a sucker for celebrity caricatures.

Quaternary was released as a mail-in offer in conjunction with
those that bought the Self-Titled album with John Corabi on lead
vocals. Print run for this 5 song EP was set at 20,000 copies,
which is of course out of print now. Personally I never knew
about this release. Not surprising since I never bothered to
       pick up the JC album
The one song I do know of from this is Planet Boom from Tommy
Lee which appeared on the Barb Wire soundtrack, which is where I
       originally first heard of it.

I had planned to get Supersonic and Demonic Relics when it came
out for the unreleased stuff. But for whatever reason, it
slipped through the cracks and I just forgot about it entirely.
The bulk of this Greatest Hits set includes songs from Decade
and Quaternary as well as some unreleased stuff. I probably will
pass on this altogether unless I find it for under 3 bucks at a
local shop. The album cover is really cool though. I like both
       sides actually.

Red, White & Crüe is another Greatest Hits set and the one to
get out of them all. It's 2 CD's with all the songs you know and
love. As before it comes with new songs recorded specifically
for this package: If I Die Tomorrow, Sick Love Song and Street
       Fighting Man.

Greatest Video Hits collects every single video up to that point
of release back in 2003 into one awesome DVD set. It's all there
in 5.1 Dolby Digital and let me tell you, it sounds amazing.
It's been a couple of years since I last watched it. The best
part of the set is the 1 hour Documentary/Interview with both
Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee deconstructing every video with behind
       the scene commentaries.
Other bonuses include X Rated and alternate versions for Girls,
Girls, Girls, Dr. Feelgood, Primal Scream, Misunderstood, Hell
On High Heels and Home Sweet Home (Remix '91).
27 videos in all. Not bad if I do say so myself. Definitely a
must for any fan of Mötley Crüe.

Mötley Crüe's Lewd Crued & Tattooed is a live concert set that
takes place on the New Tattoo Tour. It's a pretty solid show
from start to finish, but nowhere near that of their Carnival Of
       Sins concert.
On drums is Samantha Maloney taking over for Randy Castillo.
RIP. Samantha really is the MVP here. She alone makes this worth
picking up. She holds her on and then some. Sonically this DVD
sounds great because of her drumming style and in how the sound
mix really pushes her drums to the forefront here. 5.1 Dolby
Digital surround sound is pretty good. Vince Neil's voice at
times seems to be cracking a bit, so it's not a perfect showcase
for the band on DVD. That honor goes to Carnival Of Sins, which
       the review is forthcoming.
