Trailer

Normally I stay away from trailers for any series that leans
heavily on maintaining mystery, but I knew that they couldn't
say or show anything regarding the massive cliffhanger from last
season. Everything else that happens in the trailer.....wow!
This looks like it's going to be epic. Can't wait for the
return.

I've never felt more sick watching an episode of any series than
I did tonight. I was beyond horrified at what I saw. For 8
months, I have been trying to unlock the mystery of who would
die. It came down to it either being Abraham or Glenn. Never in
a million years did I think it would be both. I get it, they had
to kill them off to move the story forward. But what I have
issues with is in how they died. It was beyond barbaric and I
also get why they (the writers) really had to drive home just
how insane Negan is. But the reason why I just can't stomach it
is that I feel like the writers just didn't give them the
respect as fan-favorites. The brutality is something that is
going to stay with me for as long as I continue to watch TWD. I
think it's safe to say that the world (anyone that watched
tonight) cried. I had tears in my eyes, something that doesn't
happen ever with TWD. The lone exception being Herschel.

Seasons 7 premiere was nothing like I've ever experienced
either. Fans of the show have an awful lot invested in the
characters, and this was just a lot to sit by and watch unfold.
I was in shock.
I remember talk about how Neagan would make The Governor, look
tame. We now know.
So now that we set the stage for a new future, it will be
interesting to see how this plays along.

He's only been in 2 episodes so far, but it's a safe bet to say
that Negan is up there as one of the greatest villains of
all-time. He's even ahead of King Joffery in my book. The
Governor by comparison seems like a Lady Bug.

Right...
... I'm already interested in how Negan became to be. What's his
story? We are talking Caligula kind of horror. While they didn't
show much of the people supporting Negan, it didn't appear any
of them were phased by what he was doing.

Makes me think of Admiral Caine from Battlestar Galactica..
though when we finally saw her story, it wasn't nearly as
interesting as it was in our heads.

With each successive episode this season, I was growing more and
more furious in SCREAMING for someone.....anyone to f*cking kill
Negan already. He's a great villain which makes me want to see
him get what's coming to him now rather than later. Watching the
Mid-Season Finale tonight, it dawned on me at the very end of
the episode why this first half of the season has been very hard
to sit through and watch. As great as it has been....it has not
be fun at all and it is because of watching our core group being
beaten down physically and mentally week in and week out which
was and is depressing. This is why the final scene was such a
huge cathartic moment for me (and I'm guessing everyone else)
when we finally see our group coming together with the knowledge
that they are going to take on Negan once and for all.

I honestly have forgotten about this mid season portion. I'll
have to find time for it and binge watch this mother.

Finally got around to watching the Season Finale (The First Day
of the Rest of Your Life ) for this season and it went exactly
the way I knew it would. I knew the war with Negan was coming
and that this would be ground zero for what's coming next. I
also knew that there was no way any of the main people of the
Saviors (Negan, Dwight. Simon) would not perish. Since
everything played out the way I thought it would, it really came
down to what Sasha would do and what would become of her. Her
selfless act (without spoiling it for anyone) was perfect for
her character and for Sonequa Martin-Green who portrayed Sasha.
As for Eugene....someone b*tchslap him already. A fan-favorite
character is now just as bad as Negan in that he is so
spineless. A true coward in every sense of the word. But what
makes it worse is that he now thinks he is some sort of
"bad-ass" because he is aligned with Negan. I give the Season
Finale 4 Stars out of 5.
