Prison Break (Season 5 - 2017)

At one time, I was a huge fan of the series. The first season
was f*cking awesome. I enjoyed Seasons 2 and 3, but Season 4 was
long in tooth and it was time to end it once and for all. That
was back in 2009. So, you can imagine my surprise when I heard
about them reviving the series a few months ago. Furthermore,
how the f*ck were they going to walk back that.......well, I
won't say specifically for those that haven't seen the series
yet. But lets just say that the ending was pretty f*cking big
and makes anyone question how they can bring it back for Season
5. I was also curious to see who they would bring back and it
seems like the gang is all there.....except for one. Well, I
won't tell you who that is either. Needless to say, I will be
tuning in and seeing if they have plausible answers to explain
all this stuff and make sense.

I was a HUGE fan of Prison Break with Season 1 and Season 2
being the best out of their 4 Season run. 3 & 4 just became too
predictable in its plotting and it did seem like they were
making it up as they went along. But even though those weren't
the best seasons, they were still somewhat enjoyable to watch.
It was the TV Movie (2 episodes packed together and called a
movie) The Final Break that I just absolutely hated. It really
left a sour and bitter taste in my mouth and kind of sh*t on the
series as a whole. So, I was more than up for the return of
Prison Break just to wipe away such a stain on the series.
So, was Season 5 worth it? Yeah, for the most part I will say
that they did a good job. It felt more like old school Prison
Break and it was fun to see play out. This isn't without faults
mind you. I think they absolutely f*cked up by under-using both
T-Bag and Sucre.....both of who played big roles in the past. At
times there were stretching the believability of what was
happening this season, but as I said, it was fun....so I could
overlook it. But the Season Finale was really stretching it and
at times a bit hokey. But in spite of that, I thought the twist
at the end was poetic justice and left me grinning ear to ear. I
hope it comes back for another go-around, but I don't know what
other story there is left to tell.
