I'm kind of all over the place, sampling as many songs as I can.
And yes, just got through Rock and Roll All Nite and sounded
horrible. ;D

Kiss takes a night or two to nail...they sound so simple and
they are...but the rhythm is everything.

Well it's not that. The game starts out throwing you one note at
a time and the more you nail it, the more notes they start
sending your way. That's where Riff Repeater comes in. I need to
go in there, adjust the speed as well as the master notes.
What's cool is that I can pick any section of the song to work
on at any time. This will be my song (Rock and Roll All Nite) of
the night and on into tomorrow no doubt. As fun as Every Breath
is, it's really complicated with the chord changes and nailing
the palm mutes and keeping it in time. I did decent on this one
given the fact that I had never played the song before at any
time.

I've gotten a much better handle on the layout of the game and
let me tell ya, it's insanely addictive. It's actually pretty
clever in how the entire thing is set up by sending you on
Missions, it literally keeps you glued your guitar and TV so
that you can see what happens next. I looked up at the clock and
saw that I had played / practiced for 90 minutes with no break.
Sh*t man, I don't even play GTA V more than 20-30 minutes at a
time!!!!! My hands feel like they could punch a wall!!!

A very unusual achievement that I noticed yesterday was that I
had to jam in Session Mode anywhere from midnight to 3am to bag
the achievement score. It's actually called the 'Waking Up The
Neighbors' achievement. Haha. Well, I just got that. Now the
Mission I had to do was keep playing non-stop for 10 minutes in
Session Mode using the Pentatonic Minor scale. You would think
that its no problem. Easy. Wrong. You try noodling for 10
minutes where you're just jamming in the same scale the entire
time. I actually kept it up for 12 minutes before my fingers and
my brain couldn't take any more. Fingers bleeding. Suck it Vai!
