Did Bruce Kulick ever have a chance to get back in the
band....or was that never an option.
I always wonder if Tommy got the gig because Bruce was either
high maintenance (not meaning personality per se) But he might
have cost more...and also because of his own success solo...they
almost preferred having a slightly unknown player....I just
think it's a shame they didn't pull him and Eric back in the
band.
any theories on how it all went down. I know Tommy worked for
the band...but you'd almost think regardless of that Bruce would
have been the first choice for the new Spaceman....unless Tommy
just completely greased the wheels over the time period where
Bruce was gone.
Thoughts?

Bruce was asked back, but he refused to wear the makeup and he
said that he spent his entire career in KISS under Ace's shadow
and legacy and it wouldn't be fair to Ace and himself to
suddenly be wearing the costume and the personae of the Space
Man that he had to live under for so long. Eric on the other
hand didn't care. A paycheck is a paycheck. I hear that Eric and
Bruce still hang out together from time to time as they are
still very close since they forged a bond as being the "lesser
two" back in the day.

I wasn't sure if that was fact that he'd actually been asked
back.
a little crazy to say no honestly...I do feel based on most
interviews I've seen the last 2 years....he seems to regret it
although he'll not say it outright.
Hey I just literally found that 3 CD set (HTH, DTK and the first
record) I'd asked you about. Was in the glass cabinet in my
office and had gotten pushed back between some books.
curious if they sound better or worse than the remasters...or if
they had been re-mastered themselves. They seem to have come
out in 2005...so they might be tinkered with.
Listened to a chunk of Psycho Circus today.....it's so doesn't
sound like Ace playing!!! (or Peter) pretty laughable....even
the bonus track Ace sings...doesn't sound like him playing
guitar.
any idea what the exact line ups were for the tracks?
did Peter play on anything?
what songs did Ace really play on?

Into The Void is the ONLY song that Ace played guitar on as well
as Lead Vocals. Peter played drums on it as I remember it and
was the only song at that. Peter also sang Lead on a couple of
other tracks. Ironically enough, Into The Void is the best and
certainly my fave song from the album. I remember hearing a
while back that Bruce actually played guitar on one track and
bass on another, but I can't remember which songs they are. And
yes, Tommy plays the majority of the Guitar parts on the album.

I hope there is a much longer version of that video interview.
Looks like a clip from something much bigger. Now I just gotta
see if my library has a copy of Nothin’ To Lose: The Making of
Kiss.

Good interview, nothing new or anything we haven't heard before.
But I'm just counting the days to when this proposed Documentary
will finally see the light of day. I've heard about it for quite
some time and having them talk about it does make me think that
it could still come together.
