Sheesh, talk about skating on thin ice. So many worlds about to
collide. Some sooner than others. When Tyler sees
Shiv/Cora/Bridget at the resturatnt and blurts out about their
rendezvous earlier in Paris, I was expecting her to piece
together that her sister was alive. And now Bridget/Shiv has
Malcom Ward staying with her other "sponsor" who is working for
her evil twin sister Shiv. You get all that? No? Sucks to be you
then.
Juliet is gonna be baaaaaaad news for Mr. Carpenter (Jason
Dohring), the teacher. Where's Veronica Mars to watch his back
when he needs it?

Now that Bridget and Malcom know that John the "Sponsor" is not
on the up and up and are actively digging into his past, this
just raised the bar to a whole new level of intensity. The
ending was just that. I was certain that Malcom was gonna....
...find Gemma in the basement. I knew she was still
alive. What I don't get is why John or Shiv would want to keep
her around given that she could spoil what ever the hell is
going on. I stil don't know what the end game is here. But it's
been a fun ride so far. It was very interesting to find out that
John paid off the "Cop" to make her flee the scene in the first
place back when she was set to tesify, thus putting into motion
everything that has come after.
Famous last words. Literally. I wasn't expecting them to kill
off Gemma. I mean, hell, she got the upper hand on John/Charlie,
utters those words and then just hangs around long enough for
him to come back and..BLAM! I can't predict what's going on in
this show at all. They are creating twist just for the sake of
going against what is expected and I like it. You can't say that
Ringer is predictable at all, that's for sure.
Not sure how the hell Siobhan can keep hopscotching from Paris
to New York, back to Paris, back to New York without leaving a
trail of evidence that she is alive and living abroad. The whole
Juliet (Zoey Deutch) / Mr. Carpenter (Jason Dohring) angle took
a very interesting turn and that fact that the supposed rape
took place behind closed doors so we the viewer are kept in the
dark adds to the whole "who is lying and who isn't". I'm not
gonna even try to figure out where that one is going. But
whatever happens, he better have Veronica Mars on his side to
prove his innocence.

Now that I have had time to think about the whole rape story
angle and the longevity of the show, I'm more inclined to think
that Mr. C did in fact do it, because when the main story wraps
up I was thinking of what could sustain the series. What else?
Murder. So, I have Bridget killing Mr. C in protecting Juliet
(Zoey Deutch) after the fact. Some how this incident will come
off premeditated and Bridget will look guilty in the eyes of the
law, forcing her to be on the run...again. But this time, her
new "family" knows about who she really is and still protects
and harbors her from the authorities.
Possible? I dunno. Just throwing it out there. My theories about
this show are constantly changing as I adapt to all the twist
and turns so far.

I wouldn't say this was a bad episode, but there was a huge
disconnect between me and what I was watching and I blame the CW
for putting the show on a 2 month hiatus. That is way to long to
shelve a series like Ringer that feeds off the momentum it
generates each week. I came into this one cold and I just didn't
feel that snap, pop and crackle that it usually has. They really
dropped the ball on that one and it wouldn't surprise me one bit
to hear that the ratings took a huge hit because of it.
