I absolutely know for a fact that I mentioned "talk of a
revival" for the series elsewhere on this board, but I can't
find it. I remember distinctly talking about how both Gillian
Anderson and David Duchovny were opposed to any TV gig and were
pushing hard for a 3rd film instead. They flately refused the
idea of a series as a non-starter. It was a movie or nothing.
So, you can definitely imagine my surprise in hearing about FOX
pushing forward with the reboot with said stars attached today.
I was and still am a huge fan of the original series and would
welcome Mulder and Scully back. Cool to hear that Chris Carter
is on board. Now maybe we can finally get the much needed
closure that both movies failed to deliver for us. I don't need
the truth......I need closure. ;D

Yea, time must have worn on all of them. Reviving the series
makes more sense. More work... but better sense to the fans.
I'm actually mulling (get it), over the idea of binge watching
on Netflix. My wife has never seen it. I believe (see what I did
there) I've seen most of them. ;)

It's been years since I binged watched The X-Files on DVD. I did
catch an episode a few weeks ago channeling surfing and it just
happened to be one of the best ones they ever did. It was Jose
Chung's From Outer Space. Anyway, for me to binge watch is to
have to set aside a huge amount of time given that it's 9 full
seasons, 2 movies and of course The Long Gunmen spin-off. If
this new limited series does in fact have a start date, I may be
inclined to do a marathon leading up to the premiere of the new
season.

I'm now hearing that FOX is locking down not one, but two
seasons, each with 10 episodes per season. Kinda cool if it
turns out to be true. See what I did there. ;D
