Picking up from another post by Neumatic and being very
encourage with what I saw in the trailer, I will be waiting
impatiently for this to arrive. Looks like Syfy is definitely
serious about regaining it's former prestige it once had when
Battlestar Galatica was on the air.

I tell ya, the design of this series definitely makes it feel
connected to the present, I can see our current tech and
situation evolving into this dystopia once we realize how
screwed we are and do everything we can to return sh*t to the
status quo, even if it means stepping on the heads of the lower
castes.
And btw, how awesome is it that we get microgravity on TV? We
never have that.

That's what I latched onto. Can't wait to see this. Even cooler
is that Thomas Jane is involved in this, which I kind of find a
bit surprising as he just ended another series a couple of years
back. Figured he was going to try and kick-start his film career
again. I'm okay with him sticking with TV.

You know, I'm trying to remember how they mined asteroids in
"Higher Learning," they either spun the things like a centrifuge
to separate all the elements, or superheating the things (I
think that's how they cleaned the mining canister afterwards. I
was already thinking of that because of a tech in my SF project,
but it just struck me as weird and inefficient to bring a rock
into what looks like a spaceship hangar.
