Well, they wanted to keep the show, but not on the major
network, so off to TBS it goes. I am betting that Courtney Cox
is NOT happy about the network downgrade, though it could mean
the show can live off the lighter viewing numbers, since TBS is
not as high pressure on ratings.

Yeah, I can see getting bumped off the Big 3 could be viewed as
a slap in the face. But I think in the end, she would rather
have a show that she loves doing, keeping the cast together than
any amount of ABC Exec ass kissing. I was browsing through some
past issues of Entertainment Weekly the other day and Cox and
Lawrence were interviewed about the lack of support from ABC and
they thought the show was pretty much dead after this season.

/>As for the episode, it was good. The gag about who could keep
their white shirt spotless, although fun, was a bit predictable.
It's a no brainer that whoever starts the bet will end up losing
at the end. So the wine splash was foreseen a mile away. Still
funny though.

I loved the inside joke at the start of the episode about the
cul-de-sac crew being replaced by a less funny gang. So true!
Fake-givings was a nice joke as well, due to the fact that it
took forever for Cougar Town to return to the airwaves and
decided to have a "Thanksgiving" episode anyway. In your face
ABC!
RIP Big Carl. Come on, that was funny stuff. Even the 'In Loving
Memory..." at the end was a nice touch. Bring on Big Lou!!

Funny episode centered entirely around Groundhog Day. I can't
think of any other show in the history of TV that can
continually take pop culture references and spin it around to
fill up a half hour show and make it work. I wish more shows
were bold enough to do creative spins like what we get on Cougar
Town. Also, another Penny Can episode as well! Wheeeeeeeee!!!!
