G-Pack PC by PiixL

Okay, this is the sort of thinking that I dig: a PC case
custom-designed to be hidden behind a flatscreen TV so you don't
have a tower in your living room.

There's obviously way more going on, and the video on their
Kickstarter page

/>does an excellent job selling itself (if you're into gaming
PCs). My only real question is if the chassis covers other
inputs on the TV (like HDMI ports, component cables, cable
input, etc) but I guess that depends on the brand of set that
you have.
I also think that it's cool that they're selling raw chassis so
that people can build their own, though it looks like you should
be able to swap out any component when it dies or a better model
comes out. I can imagine that chassis lasting a long time.
It should be interesting to see what this leads to, it's meant
to be used with Steam Big Picture, but I can see this also being
used as a home cinema system.

I've gone through a few different custom built PC's over the
years and I've had a few interesting Towers that I personally
selected as well as everything else that went into it. Some
where purely for aesthetic reasons and other were more for
functionality. I doubt that my current guts would fit in this
new box and will probably have to start from the ground up
again. But given what this is and how it can be used, I'm okay
with that. Will be tracking this. Thanks for the post.

Oh, you're welcome. I'm not sure what innards you use, but that
case looks pretty big. It's just a tower laid out flat instead
of tall. But totally welcome. This is another one of those
"why didn't *I* think of that?" pieces of tech... which SHOULD
be obvious because that's what almost all Macs are, computers
behind the screens. Let other people make the cool screens,
just design something to put behind them. Of course!
