Normally I don't watch any kind of Hospital shows. None. Never.
I can't seem to recall watching any in the past 15 years and
nothing else is jumping out at me beyond that either. I may have
sampled an episode here and there, but I can't remember any
other than House. But the promos for Red Band Society did look
promising, but I was still worried that it would be just like
every other Hospital Drama that has come down the pipe over the
years. As for the Pilot, I really liked it a lot. I thought the
heart of the story (the kids and their cliques) was what sold me
on the series. I think they are all great. Solid actors and they
have chemistry between each other....another huge plus in my
book. I really like the fact that the show is narrated by a kid
in a coma. So even though he is "not there", he is the one
guiding us through it all. I'm very much on board with this for
the time being. If they can produce quality episodes for the
rest of the season on this level, the show should be a hit. The
rave reviews I have been hearing about the Pilot is justified.
