       Flash drive
By: Mac Date: September 14, 2014, 10:18 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I want a flash drive for my new car.
Not just any flash drive mind you. While watching Captain
America, a very cool, contemporary LED flash drive was used to
       steal data.
So I was thinking, I use a flash drive in my car 100% of the
time. Music, podcasts, etc. and the USB port is center and
visible. A nice led glow would put a nice touch in the pocket.
So I would like something like in the movie...
       ...Or
       ... Steampunk
I've found some pretty slick steampunk flash drives on Etsy...
       At a price.
Any thoughts on where to shop for a contemporary or Steampunk
       design?

I have no knowledge of what kind of flash drive you'd be looking
for.....or more to the point, which is considered the best on
the market for what you need. But I am interested in hearing
what you come up with as it's something that I'd probably end up
needing for myself down the road. My current Flash Drives are
fairly small in Hard Drive Space (8 gb and 32 gb respectively)
and they don't glow or anything. No LEDs. Just basic, off the
       rack drives here.

I don't need much space at all. 8 GB is way more than I need.
My simple cheap SanDisk has a orange pulsating LED in the
button. But it's an ugly stick.
I'll make sure the flash drive is from a reputable company. It's
just the added dressing I've got an eye out for.
Surprisingly the contemporary LED Flash Drive is harder to find

I dig the Steampunk Drives. Didn't even know they made such
       things.

luckily it popped into my head as a possibility.

I wound up getting this Steampunk Flash Drive
  HTML http://www.amazon.com/Handmade-Pentode-Vacuum-Steampunk-Industrial/dp/B00NHYU5D8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1412524961&sr=8-3&keywords=steampunk+flash+drive<br
/>from a custom maker in Latvia. The guy was awesome and custom
made mine to have a yellow light. I did get this essentially for
free because I got a $100 gift certificate from work.
I love it. It works exactly as I thought. It's heavy duty and
       looks unique in my car.

There are so many cool Steampunk flash drives

       />out there.
Enough inspiration, that I'm looking deeper and deeper into the
craft of making these things. Reading a ton of books from the
       library

So, I have been looking for a new Flash Drive for my Vizio TV as
I add more reference material to it for drawing purposes, as
well as adding more video content (namely Live Concerts).
Currently use a 32 gb capacity and want to bump that up to 128
gb minimum, if not more. My problem is that naturally I want to
find a kick ass deal on eBay. The other problem is that most
ship direct from Asian companies and the few "USA" sellers they
have on eBay, they just order from the same Asian companies.
What most people don't realize is that most sellers offering
HUGE deals on Flash Drives are actually selling bogus,
counterfeit drives. So, anyone here know of legit sellers that
do have good deals or at least reasonably priced?
