Once I'm done with my campaign, if you're running into problems
getting through it, I'm down for some co-op on the hardest of
all levels. ;D

I beat Raam on insane by myself and the GOW 3 finale is no Raam
fight. However theres alot more going on and more room to roam.
Co-op is definitely the way to go in this game.

I didn't notice this till now when firing up Gears 3. But when I
select Campaign and I'm given the option of Standard and Arcade,
I never saw the 3rd option: Coming Soon!
What's coming soon?

Even before I started playing this one, I just had a weird
feeling that....
...they were going to kill off Dom. I was right.
:::sigh::: The Brothers To The End standoff was pretty cool. If
Dom was going to go out, this was the time and place to do
it.
Welcome to "Redacted" was interesting. It reminded me of the
Submarine ride at Disneyland, being on a "track" and not being
able to control where I was going, but having to react to what
was coming my way (missles, mines, monster-fish, etc...)

Having just completed Single Player Campaign, I came away very
satisfied with Gears 3 as a whole. The ending took me probably
10 times to finally figure out the best way to go about killing
that stupid "Killer Bee". I was getting frustrated at getting
swarmed on by the invading Locust while trying to use the Hammer
Of Dawn and then trying to get the Bee off the building. Once I
figured it out, it was pretty simple in its execution.
I'm gearing (pun intended) up to play Hardc*re Difficulty next
and then eventually Insane Difficulty. ;D
I think out of the 3 Gears, this one is by far my favorite of
the bunch. I'm a huge fan of Gears 2 and it did have more
variety of gameplay throughout, which I will give the edge to
them in that department. But the graphics here are way better.
So is the game play itself. And of course Horde 2.0 makes the
Horde mode in Gears 2 obsolete in my eyes.
Of the 3 final Boss Fights, Gears 1 was the hardest going up
against Raam. In Gears 2, it had the coolest Boss fight with the
Brumak, but the ending was way too easy. Use the Hammer Of Dawn
3 x's, blow 'em up, flood city, game over. Gears 3 was a bit
more challenging and more satisfying because it took work to get
it done.
Now, I have plenty of achievements to unlock. That's gonna keep
me busy for sure.
So, with Gears 3 out and it getting rave reviews, I'm finding it
highly unlikely that this is in fact the end of the series.
There's too much money to be made here and a loyal fan base
unlike no other. Naw, it's coming back, but under a different
banner. Gears Of War: Universe Invasion or something. ;D
I highly recommend this one to everyone. This is a definite Buy
As for the Epic Edition that I picked up, my main motive for
getting this one was for the Marcus Fenix Statue and it was well
worth the price. The Cog Medal is pretty cool....and a lot
heavier than I thought it would be. The Box that it comes in is
well done, which itself holds all the other bonus stuff,
including the game itself.
