Man, the Captain looked like an Oompla Loompa!! Hey, at least
the script supervisor is in fact paying attention to detail. If
you ever find yourself in the unfortunate sitiuation of floating
in the open sea under a bright sun, you too would look like an
Oompa Loompa!!! As for the episode itself, I found it very good.
Nice buildup to the extraction and rescuing everyone that needed
rescuing. So, Team USA finally blows the Russian ship to
hell, but does anyone reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally think that's the
last we will be seeing of them? Of course not! They even set it
up that there will be survivors, more specifically.....Patient
Zero as he dons a sailor uniform and blends in with the rest of
the soldiers.

The Last Ship Renewed for 2nd Season

I was intending to post the news a couple weeks back but got
sidetracked. Anyway, better late than never. Good news is that
The Last Ship got picked up very early into Season 1 due to
overwhelming positive word of mouth. This is what I like to
hear. I didn't want to have to "think about the series being on
the bubble" while watching this season play out. Now I can just
sit back and enjoy the ride.

Well that is a certainly good news. I understand about the
waiting. HBO has been hesitant on announcing anything, until
now, about The Leftovers. It will be renewed. I know lots of
people would have bailed sooner than later if it did not get
renewed.

I got a little smirk when the XO told the joke.
"Good one Sir"
"Yea, I thought so"

I'm actually surprised that by the end of the episode they had
in effect manufactured a cure for the virus that's wiping out
the planet. I was convinced that the Trials would be a disaster
and that half of the 6 would have been toast and the other half
would have somehow been saved, if not cured outright. So, with
the cure at hand, the focus will have to shift elsewhere for
it's threat and my only guess would be whoever the 'Bad Guy' is,
is going to want to keep the cure from getting out. I dunno, but
the idea that it's going in a different direction has me excited
for the show because now we will be in uncharted waters. *Rim
Shot*. ;D Great episode that had me on pins and needles the
entire time.

Yep, that was a slow, but churning, burning episode. I was
thinking it was very appropriate. I could easily imagine the
writers from another project get lazy and just blow through this
critical process.

As soon as I saw that Alfre Woodard had joined the cast of The
Last Ship, I knew exactly what this episode would be. I
immediately knew that she was going to be portrayed as the "Good
Guy" only to be revealed at the end that she is in fact not only
the 'Bad Guy' but is in fact the one that is trying to keep the
cure from getting out so that she can further her own
"Government". How did I know all this? Easy. Just go watch
Revolutions. I'm loving The Last Ship, but seeing a lot of this
episode being cribbed from Revolutions leaves me worried for the
series. I don't want it going down the same road and ending up
with the same ending. I did enjoy the episode. It was good. But
that doesn't take away my concerns for it right now. Also
shocked to find out THIS was the Season Finale. What the f*ck!
Is TNT so cheap that they can't even give us 13 episodes per
season? WHAT THE F**CK!!!!!!

Dammit, did I hear we saw the last episode until the new season
starts sometime in 2015?
WTF

Yup.
I only found out about it when the promo aired right before the
final credits rolled.
