Disappointed is what comes to mind after reading this. Actually,
that feeling came in the middle of the book. Why? Well, I was
very much looking forward to this Volume because I thought that
it would be another Volume full of Greg Capullo artwork. He was
the only reason (besides wanting to finish the story that was
started in Volume 1) why I picked this up. His art, no matter
what he is drawing is always kick ass and what we do get here is
vintage Capullo. The story itself was pretty kick ass as well
with the revelation that Bruce Wayne has a brother that he never
knew about and not only does he have a brother, but he's one of
the Owls that is assaulting him and Gotham City. Once the story
wraps, it's a couple of different fill-in artist that is beyond
horrible. The quality would be on par with someone drawing for
the first time. Just atrocious and doesn't fit well with Batman.
I say Rent this just for the Scott Synder / Greg Capullo story.
After this, it's not worth reading. Capullo's installment gets 5
Stars out of 5. Overall the book only gets 3 Stars because of
the rest of the fill-in crap.
