I would pay to see this...
For 70+, these guys look fantastic.

Thread revival! Looks like we are only getting 10 shows and it's
for London audiences only. Sigh. It sure has taken a long road
to get to the Reunion. This thread was started so long ago that
I forgot all about it. Ack!!

For the first time in thirty years, the five surviving Pythons -

Jones - have regrouped for a run of shows at London’s O2 Arena.
Despite rumours that the group would be embarking on a more
extensive world tour, Michael Palin confirmed that the July 20
performance would be their last ever, calling it The Last Night
of the Pythons.

I caught onto Monty Python a little late when it hit the states
years ago. Over time, I grew to understand their unique humor
and at times fell in love with much of it.
In 2014, a reunion of the remaining Pythons (minus Graham
Chapman) got together to produce an extravagant live stage show
of some of their best bits. What struck me is how many musical
numbers they did. I guess I never really thought about it, but
over the course of their television and movie projects, I guess
there was quite a bit of music. None the less, the boys do a
great job of doing those skits over again. You know it’s coming,
but you still laugh out loud.
My favorite bit in this live show was the Dead Parrot Skit.
Because John Cleese and Michael Palin were struggling to NOT
laugh. I already knew all the lines, but it was fun to see these
two guys trying to work the skit.

Oh yeah, this was awesome, this is what I saw theatrically last
year. It was pretty funny, but I just wonder how much of the
show the Python's weren't in. There were all those musical
numbers and so on to cover for the costume changes and shit, but
I wonder if they also needed breaks just because of their age.

Well, maybe for their age, but I'm sure a lot was for
introducing some energy and that theatrical feel. Maybe to get
some young folks in?

How have I not put these up? I'm rewatching John Cleese and
Eric Idle's L!ve Talks and it's freakin' hilarious, but they
read a couple lost sketches. They're freaking hilarious.
