I really don't have the patience to sit around and wait for this
Season to end and then on top of that wait for it to arrive on
DVD and then on top of that wait in line at the Library to get
my copy. All while avoiding spoilers that are sure to big news
after the final episode airs. That's just too many variables
that I don't want to have to deal with. So, watching it via AMC
on their website is the best solution and I dove head first into
       Blood Money.
With the exception of the opening scene, which shows Walt with a
full head of hair and beard visiting his broken down and
tattered house retrieving the vile of ricin that he hid in the
bedroom socket outlet, Blood Money literally picks up from the
cliffhanger of the previous episode where Hank discovers who
Heisenberg is, aka Walt. Obviously Hank doesn't want to rush to
judgement and sets about doing more detective work to get
concrete proof. I thought this would be how the rest of the
season would play itself out. All cat and mouse. Nope. To my
surprise, Walk grows suspicious and confronts Hank about it. And
sure enough, they have their big face to face showdown, which is
about the most electric thing I've seen on the show. I literally
was holding my breath the entire time.
I can't wait to watch the next to episodes waiting for me. But
I'm gonna try to space them out and not plow through these too
fast. Need to savor this and make it last. Anyway, this second
half of the season is off and running. I'm happy and excited to
say the least. As for the flashfoward scene that opened this
season as well as the first half of Season 5, I like it. It
shows us the viewer that they are leading somewhere big, one
that seems to have Walt in a tailspin and something big had to
have played out or will play out. How else to explain the need
       to have ricin again?

Man, this is some great writing all around. On the surface, you
would think that nothing much happens in this one, but that is
totally wrong. This episode is all about self preservation and
it comes from the two most unlikeliest characters on the show.
First, you have Skyler who has wanted nothing more than to see
the demise of Walt so that she could reclaim her life for
herself and her two kids. But as soon as Hank and her sister
Marie come at her, trying to take her child away, that just
forges a new bond with Walt to stand by his side. I kinda saw
this coming, but it was great to see anyway. The other one that
is now in self preservation mode is Hank of all people. He can't
and won't tip off the DEA about what he knows because it will be
the end of his career in law enforcement. It was also
fascinating to see Marie turn on her sister so quickly and she
has every right to be p*ssed off for being lied to and
       manipulated all this time.
Great cliffhanger...again. I can't wait to see what Hank has in
storage for Jesse (Aaron Paul) and how this interrogation is
going to play out. Will Jesse's guilt finally get him to
cooperate with Hank and flip on Walt? Or is the guilt so
powerful that he has mentally shutdown and a deal of any kind is
not going to alleviate him of his anguish. Fantastic episode.
Still a trip to see Jesse Plemons on Breaking Bad. I'm so use to
       him being Landry still.

Holy crap, this episode was EPIC. There are a few amazing scenes
that play out. For starters, I didn't even think of Walt,
Sklyer, Marie and Hank ever sitting down for a "meal". I didn't
think they would ever share the same room again. But this
sit-down sets up one of the best blackmail plots ever on the
show. It was a thing of beauty watching Walt's confession DVD
that basically implicates Hank as the Meth Kingpin, which really
puts him in a corner. So much so that for the time being, Hank
is now Walt's b*tch. Ouch. The other amazing revelation has been
in the making for a while. I've been waiting patiently for the
time when Jesse would finally learn the truth about who stole
       the Ricin Cigarette from him.
Jesse's beat-down on Saul wasn't something I saw coming. But
damn, that was powerful. What could possibly top this? How about
Jesse racing over to the White residence to burn it down. That's
the cliffhanger, with Jesse dousing the house with gasoline.
Can't wait to see the next episode to see where this goes. The
other scene that I really dug came a bit earlier in the episode
and that's when Jesse called Mr. White on his bullsh*t about how
he is always trying to 'work him' by pretending to be a father
figure to him. The hug at the end was still Walt working him,
but from a different angle. This series never fails to deliver.
       Best. Show. Ever!

Once I realized that Jesse was missing, I don't know why I
didn't even begin to suspect that he would be with Hank,
spilling his guts about everything that he and Walt had done
over the last year. Everything from Brock to Gus. The episode is
basically divided in half. The first half is Walt discovering
that Jesse had retaliated by invading his home and the
subsequent story he tells Skyler about the gas pump, carpet,
etc...He really sucks at telling lies. He is so transparent.
       Couldn't even fool Skyler.
The second half of the episode is all about Jesse and how he
came to be in the company of Hank, who by the way is really just
like Walt in a lot of ways. He will do anything, even risking
Jesse's life to get what he wants. Not sure how the next
episode...or even the rest of the season is going to play out.
The line has been drawn and it looks like Walt will officially
put a hit out on Jesse, which is exactly what Jesse wants. I
think his plan involves having Walt implicated with a 'murder
       for hire' sting operation.
I really liked the scene where Walt Jr. hugs his dad because he
is scared of losing him. Remember, his son is why he started
doing all this meth stuff in the first place, to provide for him
and the family. And in that very moment, you see this in the
look in his eyes. This one thing, in all of this is still pure
because Jr. hasn't been tainted with the knowledge of what his
father has done "in the name of love". Another stellar episode.
