Little Brother/Homeland by Cory Doctorow

I'm sure I mentioned these here and there on the board but I'm
surprised I didn't do a thread for 'em yet. They're fiction
which I don't see much of on here, but they're VERY timely.
This is a two year old video of the author talking about the
theme of his movie: surveillance and technology and how you
fight back against it. And it seems like you guys would be into
it given the roles that computers and video games and consoles
play in the narrative.

The books are creative commons and on his site, meaning you can
download 'em and share 'em and all that and he doesn't care.
Though I was quite happy to buy the books.
Something I particularly like is how accessible the tech is to
the reader, stuff like building computers or how privacy systems
work is explained in a very easy way, they're not just using
computers, you're understanding what they're doing, why it works
and how it functions. It's something very few writers can do
well, and it really puts you in there instead of, say, a movie
where you just see someone typing at a screen.
