Free Movie Rules
By: ChipRawks Date: August 16, 2011, 7:49 am

There are a few sites such as Hulu, YouTube and Netflix that
host thousands of movies for free online for your viewing
pleasure. So, if you have a movie that your about to watch and
want to share, all you have to do is create a thread of said
movie, post a direct link and discuss your movie afterwards.
NOTE: Only links to legitimate sites like Hulu that have
approval and authorization from the Networks and Studios will be
allowed. No illegal sites or torrents of any kind will be
tolerated.

Hulu to usher in exciting era of not-at-all-free TV streaming by
requiring cable subscription[/glow]
Encouraged by its innovative new "pay-for-stuff" model
introduced in 2010, Hulu is considering taking the next logical
step by requiring users to have a subscription to a pay-cable
service in order to access its content. It's a bold new spin on
the increasingly outmoded design of free streaming that's known
as "completely not-free streaming, because no one really makes
money on that"—or "authentication" for short—that could be
introduced within the next several years as part of the TV
Everywhere initiative, which envisions an exciting future where
TV is available everywhere, provided it's somewhere that
connects to a cable box. The New York Post also says that both
Fox and NBC are moving toward putting their own online content
under authentication, speculating that these deals will "make
cable companies happy because it could slow cord-cutting by
making cable subscribing more attractive," primarily by offering
no other viable legal alternative to watching cable TV. But
Hulu, it adds, "could see its audience… shrink after
authentication," probably because people fear change.

Well, it better be cable companies that the majority of us have.
Over at TNT, they offer the same authentication deal, but I
don't have a provider that's on THEIR list which effectively
terminated my involvement with a few of their shows (Leverage,
Southland, etc...) that I'm a huge fan of. So, Hulu have a much
larger list if they don't want to run the risk of alienating the
viewer pool so to speak.
