If you are easily offended, Archer is NOT for you. There is
pushing the envelope and then there is obliterating said
envelope and redefining what you can get away with on TV. Sure,
it's cable, but even some of the bigger shows like The Sopranos,
Boardwalk Empire or Oz can not hold a candle to this one. Just
because Archer is a cartoon doesn't mean it can't shock you. I
think the only way that this series can get away with some of
the stuff they say and do can only be done in an animated
format. You turn this into a show with 'live actors' and it
wouldn't work. It would fail. It would come off pretty bad. But
with it being a cartoon, it actually works. Scratch that. It
       thrives.
I think this is one of the funniest things ever. The jokes and
pop culture references come at you a mile-a-minute and never
lets up until the end credits roll. This is definitely an
acquired taste for sure. But if you can handle dick and fart
jokes, then this is definitely up your alley. Think along the
lines of a Kevin Smith film and multiply it by a thousand, and
you will just begin to scratch the surface at how rauncy Archer
is. Great dialog and fantastic voice acting from the likes of H.
Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Judy Greer, Amber
Nash and Chris Parnell. I have yet to really settle on a
favorite character. They each of their own little quirks that
       make me laugh. More please!
I highly recommend this as a Rent.

I've been putting off watching this show forever. Even my
sister swears by it and she's not a big cartoon watcher at all,
but for some reason or another. I do like me some Jon Benjamin,
though... have you all seen Bob's Burgers or Jon Benjamin Has a
       Van?

I have not. I've seen listings for Bob's Burgers.
Stop denying yourself... Archer can be pretty damn funny... a
       lot.

Bob's Burgers is freaking hilarious, it's from the same guys who
       did Home Movies.

Does anyone else get the Wodehouse reference? Brilliant name
       for a butler.
Love the guest stars so far, I catch a name in the end credits
and I have to rewind and rewatch (I caught Rene Auberjoinois and
Thomas Lennon but missed Jeffrey Tambor and Ron Perlman!). And
I love the little visual touches (the captain of the blimp looks
just like Peter Graves, I LOVE that!).

I just finished Season 1 too. I actually started to watch the
last few episodes and realized I had already watched them just
recently.... but still damn funny stuff.
I did not notice the reference.. but I will now.
