I know about the pink goo.... can it be worse than the pink goo?
I really wish I had a taste for fruit and veg... I still hold
out hope that there's the killer combination I haven't found
yet, but no luck yet.

Then what is it that people flock to McDonald’s?
Cheap? Fast? Convenient? Kid friendly?
If the taste is just OK, why would McDonald's be the go to
place.
I only go if absolutely necessary. That's doesn't happen very
often.

I'm sure the fact that McDonalds is EVERYWHERE is a huge reason
for it. A massive install base, cheap food, kids' playground.,
now you got the awful coffee. I think it's more like an
anti-restaurant, you go there when you don't really want to eat
but have to eat something, or if you don't have time to eat
anything else, or just want to eat without thinking about it.
They're also in a lot of airports as well, I've eaten that
rather than airline food (though there are some good burger
places in some restaurants... there was a GREAT little homemade
place in the Bob Hope Airport). It's safe, familiar,
ubiquitous, and it's the first thing you think of when you think
fast food hamburger. They've got the mental market cornered.
I'm willing to bet that the higher up that chart goes, the more
localized the restaurants are.

To drive home the point that Neumatic was making, at the San
Diego Naval Hospital, they have a McDonald's on site which is
moronic. Let's take people to the hospital so that they can get
better and once you check out, feel free to go down and woof it
up, clog your arteries and hope to see you back next month for
your bypass. But having said that, I'd stay out there visiting
my Grandpa for long stretches and have nothing to eat, leaving
me with two choice, them or Subway and I'd always go with Mickey
Dee's because as bad as they are, Subway is even worse.

Not sure what to make of this. It doesn't look like it would
taste any good......unless you like burnt burgers. I'm sure it
doesn't actually taste burnt, but that's the only thing going
through my mind at the moment. Maybe it's the greatest tasting
burger of all time. I doubt this will ever make it stateside.

Hahaha. Leave it to IGN to travel all that way to do a review of
the Black Burger. I am not surprised at all by the look on his
face with each bite he took. It just looks.....NASTY!!! No
thanks. I'll stick to the old standard Burgers I've grown up
with.
