I had seen a couple of print ads for Last Resort but it didn't
do anything as far as getting me wanting to check this out. It
wasn't until I read a blurb in Entertainment Weekly in which the
show was described as a cross between Lost and Crimson Tide. I
get the connection Crimson, but there was nothing remotely
similar to Lost. Well, there was one thing that kinda hinted at
near the end with one of the Soldiers that piggy backed on the
Sub was babbling about....something. Same with the guy in the
bar. But other than that...nothing else.
The premise seemed interesting enough. With the crew of the
Colorado Sub being targeted for a "frame job" or something like
that, this sends them on the run to where they take refuge on an
Island (there's you Lost connection). I like the actors involved
and the Pilot episode was good enough for me to invest in this a
little bit longer. Andre Braugher and Scott Speedman star, with
the show from The Shield creator, Shawn Ryan.
