Wow. What a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting to see Season
2 ever on Hulu. They had only hyped up Season 1 and after the
last episode, I pretty much figured that that was it for this
series for me, even though I really wanted to see how they
resolved the cliffhanger from last season. Well, I got my answer
with One. This episode is hands down the best of the series so
far. It was tight, action-packed and full of tension that never
let up. If they can keep this kind of intensity for the
remainder of Season 2, I will have a new favorite show. The
Shape-shifting girl was just downright creepy. Shudders.
I'm really looking forward to finding out who the "Masked
Avenger" is that keeps saving the Kids asses.

So, Nathan discovers he has a long lost Brother; Jamie. At
first, my guess was that he would turn out to be the "Masked
Avenger". But I kinda knew that he was nothing more than a red
herring. Pretty interesting turn of events when all the kids
take "ecstasy" and find out that their trips have an adverse
effect to their super powers.
Big twist at the end when Nathan finds out that his brother is
dead and that only he can see him....because of his immortality
power. Did not see that one coming.

Avenger is....

able touch Alisha in present day. Not only that, but they are a
couple in the future. Simon went from being this nerdy, akward,
serial-killer-waiting-to-happen-freak to Mr. Suave.

As for Nathan, I was literally laughing out loud when he was
coming onto present day Simon. That was the funniest sh*t I've
seen in awhile. The look of horror on Simon's face was
priceless. I knew that the Tattoo artist was behind it from the
beginning. Still funny though.
Awesome episode all around.

Poor Ollie (Josh McGuire). Just when he thought he would become
a part of the gang...BAM! Oh well. At least he lives on. With
the new guy out of the way, who by the way has Teleportation
powers, his heart is transplanted into Curtis' new love
interest, giving her the power to now Teleport as well.
Interesting turn of events. But the rest of the episode was just
meh. The whole GTA-inspired nut job going around literally
playing a game, all with poorly conceived CGI took me
completely out of the story.
The only saving grace for this episode was the major twist at
the end involving...
[spoiler]...future Simon, who literally gives his life to save
Alisha. Obviously the goal of the entire episode was to get to
this point....to put her in harms way so that Simon could save
her. I just wished that the story they used to get there would
have been anything other than that GTA crap.

Updated Review (Jan 5, 2012)
Although I'm still in agreement with the whole GTA aspect of the
episode in that they could have done a different plot to get to
the end for Simon's sacrifice, the episode did play a little bit
better then second time around. So this episode gets a half star
bump to...

This was funny, predictable and then surprising all rolled into
one. Nathan for the humor. Father for the killer. Bruno (Richard
Riddell) for the Gorilla. When I saw Bruno scaling the side of
the building with Kelly on his back in a nod to King Kong, I
thought it to be funny. What I didn't see coming...

[spoiler]...was that Bruno was in fact a Gorilla, who was
changed into human form from the storm that gave the other kids
their powers. So when Bruno took off his Gorilla mask to reveal
a real Gorilla underneath, that was a shock. What's left unclear
is why he changed back into his primate self.

It's weird seeing Alisha pining after Simon now, knowing what
her future is with him. Now she is super akward around him,
which is a 180 degree turn from her more "flirty" self.
