I kinda feel sorry for Chicky.
I actually read a pretty interesting little article today
written by Mara Wilson, of all people
HTML http://www.cracked.com/blog/7-reasons-child-stars-go-crazy-an-insiders-perspective/<br
/>about what makes former child stars go crazy. Definitely wort
h
a read, I can't really imagine dealing with those sorts of
things when I was a kid. I'm sure I couldn't handle it.

I check out the article.
Elsewhere, for some odd reason or another, for the past few
weeks I have kinda wanted to do a Lindsay Lohan marathon from
the ground up, starting with The Parent Trap and working my way
through most of her stuff. I miss the old Lohan, the one that
EVERYONE adored and would want to be the 'girl next door'. It's
just sad to see where she is heading and I don't think she will
recover from this because she has no support system in place.
She absolutely needs to move out of Hollywood and go live in the
mountains for a year. No Cell Phones, TV's, Radio. Nothing. Just
focus on getting healthy and then come back and rock it.

I JUST rewatched that SNL skit where Miley Cyrus played Lindsey
Lohan. I miss the old one too ("Firebush," as I recall her
being called. I'm in on the nicknames). Though all I can
really remember is Mean Girls, I remember seeing clips of Herbie
(it must have been when I worked in the theater), and I couldn't
bring myself to ever check out "Get A Clue," it felt too creepy,
but I recall seeing some promo for it ages ago and noticing her
for some reason.

Freaky Friday is f*cking great. And I wasn't expecting much
given how big a fan I am of the original with Jodie Foster. So
yeah, the remake is definitely one to be proud of. I put it
right up there with Mean Girls.

Wow. I really should watch those two back-to-back.
Lohan and Chicky suffer from a similar issue: they were the
stars of movies that don't exist anymore, there's no "Lindsey
Lohan" movie and there's no "Amanda Bynes" movie anymore, you
know? The kids who came AFTER them don't really seem to have
those movies either, there's no big-screen Selena Gomez movie or
...I don't know any other Disney girls... they need to be actors
that can adapt and fit into different projects, not just be
headliners.
I don't know if any of you know who Miranda Cosgrove is, she was
iCarly (and also in School of Rock) and she's quite smartly in
college now, I can see her being a Meg Ryan/Jen Garner/Rachel
McAdams type and probably fit into an ensemble if she decides to
go back into acting, but she also seems like she'll be fine if
she pursues a different career. Her co-star, meanwhile, has a
spin-off I saw a commercial for, and that's fine, I guess, but
what happens after? She's playing the same character for a
couple more years, not really stretching, you know?

Everyone knows who Miranda Cosgrove. What's funny is that one of
her songs is in Rockband and I swear is a fun one to play
in-game. The bad thing is that Headphones On becomes an Earworm
that you can't shake for a few days. Ack!!

I don't know who knows who Miranda Cosgrove is! I felt like I
shouldn't know. Although I will say I like her as an actress
but not as a singer.
Oh god, I just realized that in ten years or so the movie stars
that we're going to be seeing commercials for in the big movies
are going to be these kids running around now. I'm sort of
dreading that, I don't want to see, say, Nolan Gould n a part
that would have gone to Seth Rogen.

I really don't know these folks. I kinda know Bynes from
watching with my son, ions ago, some disney/SNL like show she
was on. I do remember some of her skits actually made me laugh.
I feel zero empathy for these folks. They need to take
responsibility. They are grown ass people. They made choices.
They need to deal with the consequences.
Zero sorrow.

Well, Bynes has been around since she was tiny, she was on All
That (with Kenan "What Up With That?" Thompson) back when I was
young, had her own show, had a sitcom that I never saw, had a
couple movies (the last one I remember was "Easy A"). I even
remember her being on The Drew Carey Show. The others I just
mentioned are just famous for their one project.
