Events from Other Clubs

Thought I would pop a section in here to list events that we get
notice about from other clubs. Like this one:
We have a small Combat Club that get together about every other
week during the spring. We fly open "B" style planes with .30
max engines. We only have about 8 regulars in the group. I know
it's a haul for a small event like this but I thought I would
mention it in case there is some interest.

When: June 25th, 2011 (flying starts at 9am, Pilots Meeting @
8:30am)
Where: Holmes Airport at Pawnee Rd, Near Lake Springfield
Camping is available on site (no hookups, first come first
serve)
Directions
Exit 94 (East Lake Drive) off I-72/I-55. Follow it East and then
South
Approx 6 miles to North Pawnee Rd. Take Pawnee Rd South
Approx 1 mile. Holmes Field is on the West Side of Pawnee Rd.

Pylon Racing at the Peoria RC Club
Here is the schedule.
Its official, we are racing this year, both 4Star 40s and
Fantasy Racers. There will be 2 races a month, one on a
Wednesday 6 PM and one on a Saturday 9 AM each month. Here are
the approved dates: May 25 and 28, June 11 and 15, July 6 and
16, August 17 and 27, September 7 and 24. Only Fantasy Racers
will be raced on Wednesdays, both airplanes will race on
Saturdays.

Just a note to remind you that the Washington RC Club is having
a open house/fun fly starting at 1 P.M. and lasting until dark
this coming Sunday, June 5th. There is no landing fee and all
are welcome to come and fly as well as partiipate in a great
Swap Meet. You can sell your extra stuff at no charge so long
as you provide your own table and tent if you would like.
If we want the Washington Club to support our upcoming events we
need to support theirs and hopefully we can have many Pekin RC
flyers in attendance. Driving-- just go North of the Washington
square on main street to the 4th street which is cruger. Turn
right and go about two miles to the club sign on the right. Or
you could view a map at their site which is
