We expect you to heed these rules before posting. If you don't
and disobey them, there will be consequences; as in that your
account will be moderated. These rules are not to limit your
conversation, but to keep the forums under control.
I: Some General Rules.
Personal attacking (commonly known as "flaming") or insulting
another user is prohibited.
Abusing services that the forum offers (such as the Rep
system, the abuse report system, etc) is prohibited and can
result in the deletion of your account.
Don't bump threads older than a week.
Don't post offsite links. The only links that are accepted are
those leading to official computer manufacturer company sites.
Don't abuse smileys.
Don't repost a thread that's been deleted, moved or modified
by a moderator.
Swearing is not allowed! Some subforums accept it, but it must
be kept to a low.
Don't openly argue with a moderator or administrator; send
them a private message.
Post the contents of a private message without the permission
of the person you sent it to/sent it to you.
DON'T, AND ABSOLUTELY DON'T POST YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION.
This may include your IP address, street address, phone number,
etc.
II: The following topics are not to be posted:
Racist topics.
Pornographic or gory topics.
Threats of violence or harassment.
Don't discuss piracy. Period. If you are caught discussing it,
your account will be permanently banned.
Copyrighted material without permission.
Advertisements, raffles, contests, etc. that aren't officially
endorsed by ADMINS and only ADMINS.
Religious, political, and other prone to huge arguments
threads.
Threads about alcohol and drugs.
Threads about disrespect to others.
Threads about how you got banned. If you feel you were
unfairly banned, email pcmotionban@gmail.com and give a reason
why you were banned unfairly. We will judge if your ban was
correctly imposed or not. Do not post about your bans on forum
or your ban will be EXTENDED.
III: Don't be a mini-mod.
Mini-modding is not what a helpful reporter of offensive posts
is. A mini-mod is someone who tries to force rules onto people
and reports people and annoying them about it. It's the
moderators' job to delete offensive content, not the community's
job. We encourage you, however, to report bad
threads/replied/PMs and do so SILENTLY.
IV: The use of the "Report to a moderator" button.
It's not a toy, so don't use it like it's a toy. It's serious.
Each day, we look at the posts you reported and decide if it
deserves to be removed or not. Please use it correctly, and
don't report someone because they made you angry. You may be
banned for a maximum of forever if you false-report.
V: What you get when you break the rules often.
If you often break these rules, your account will be permanently
banned from this forum, and you may be IP banned.
Moderators reserve the right to change/edit/move/delete any post
if they feel it is inappropriate. Bashing a moderator because of
this will result in a permanent ban.
