Every day he would sit at the windowsill, watching and longing.
The birds in the sky, the small critters on the ground, and even
the bugs were free, free to do whatever they wanted and to go
wherever they pleased. He'd wanted that freedom more than
anything else, and now he finally had it.
The gray tabby looked back for just a second and blinked. He was
really doing it. He was leaving his house, the place he'd lived
in for more than a year of his life. He sure was going to miss
his family; although they didn't understand him and they
wouldn't even try to listen, he knew they cared. But he just
couldn't stay inside when the door was wide open for once. He'd
taken his chance, and now he was out here in the fields he onced
daydreamed about. His house was a tiny speck in the distance
which he may never see up close again. He would never go back.
The young tom tom moved at a steady pace through the grasses,
though he stopped often to admire the beauty of the natural
world. Eventually he noticed a strange scent. It was... Cats?
There were more cats in the world than him! The gray-striped
feline started to jog toward where the scent was heaviest,
excited to meet more if his kind.

Morningpaw was out in the territory, doing her usual hunting
routine, though that was mostly an excuse, it was just to
distract herself. Her friend was still badly injured and
possibly he could still die, and even if he did live, there was
more of a chance he would be blind. The silver chinchilla
apprentice though soon caught a new scent, a cat, someone who
was not from this clan or the other two clans.

The tom quickly caught sight of this other feline and put on a
big smile. "Hi there!" the gray tabby would meow while bouncing
around his new friend. Or hopefully new friend.

Morningpaw froze a bit, well that has saved her time attempting
to track down that new scent. "You're trespassing, though from
the way you are talking, you probably didn't know" meowed the
female apprentice

"Oh, um, I am?" the tom peeped, flattening his ears sheepishly
and starting to back away. "I'm sorry, Miss, I-I didn't know!"

cat and added "generally I would inform you to leave otherwise
state your business here"

"I don't have a business," he mewed, confused as to what that
even was. "But uh, what's a BarnClan? Is it another cat?"

Morningpaw held in a sigh "no, barnclan is a whole group of cats
that live, hunt and fight alongside each other, though there is
a cat that we class as the leader" she explained

"Woah, cool!" the tom mewed in awe. "Could I meet them or nah?"
He wouldn't want to be invasive on these "BarnClan" cats' homes,
but he was really interested in talking to cats for once in his
life.
