Soul's Arrival

Soul walked around the large rocks, and decided to climb up.
According to the smell she was near a Clan again. Remember what
happened at the last Clan! she thought to herself. At a farm, a
couple rats attacked her, leaving her with scars. She laid down
on the boulder, which was getting hot as the sun rose. I've been
travelling for days. . . Soul started to doze off. The fact that
a Clan cat might find her never even crossed the young she-cat's
mind.

Coalstar, being frustrated for no reason was racing over the hot
rocks without a second thought.... That was until she picked up
a cat's scent she couldn't put a name too, her direction changed
instantly as the small grey and brown she-cat pelted across the
boulders in a blur like she typically did. She slowed as the
scent got stronger, ducking into the shadows for cover was the
main reason, a habit Boulderclan members seemed to carry. She
stuck to the shadows until this silver striped figure came into
view. Who ever it was was clearly not up for a fight, they
appeared to be covered in scars, exhausted as well plus being
mouse brained enough to stay in the sun when it was going to get
hotter. she crept up closer to the figure soon seeing it was a
she-cat she narrowed her eyes, allowed her pelt to bristle as a
warning as she stuck to the shadows but got closer to who ever
this cat called itself. Once she was close enough she hissed
"Get up and tell me your name right now" she was going to be
difficult to spot in the position she decided to hide in, her
grey pelt against a rock, while being crouched in the shade in
the sand... Perfect disguise against her pelt. She waited for
the she-cat to answer her demand...

looking for something to do when she also stumbled upon a rogue
cat's smell. She had his behind a large rock where her pelt was
disguised before approaching any further. When she had heard the
leader's booming voice she lept onto the rock knowing the cat
had already been discovered. Peculiar didn't say anything but
gave a gentle smile to her leader. If Coalstar wanted her to
leave to would do so, even though she was very curious about the
new cat. [/font]

Soul woke up, startled. "Wha..." she mewed. The young loner
jumped up at seeing two cats, both with similar smells. Clan
cats... She thought. She turned to the smaller cat. Soul thought
that one had asked something about a name. "I'm Soul," she
answered, her feathery tail waving behind her, "And you are?"

Coalstar growled a little, this cat was confident enough to ask
who she was... "I am the leader of Boulderclan, now what are you
doing in my territory" she hissed not being friendly about the
situation... Not yet anyway, she had no reason to be friendly at
this current time.

Soul narrowed her eyes. This "leader" seemed pretty hostile
towards the young loner. "Well, 'leader of BoulderClan', can't a
cat walk along if she wants?" Soul asked, taking all her
courage. She got back into her taunting mood, and was ready for
any reply. She started to heat up in the sun, not noticing the
hot daylight bearing down on her.

Peculiar, startled to hear the rogue talk so disrespectfully to
her leader, waited alert. She hadn't gotten any bad vibes from
the new comer but she still wanted to be prepared. Silently, she
awaited to hear her leader's response.

Soul turned her attention to the other cat, who looked
dismayed. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I offend you?" she asked. "I
forgot how pampered you Clan cats were, with you're shelter,
food, and companionship." I'm on a roll! Soul thought, smirking
at herself.

When the cat started talking to her, Peculiar jumped down from
her Boulder. A slight growl formed but she didn't attack.
Silently, she waited.

Coalstar stood up "It is not okay for you just to wonder in when
ever you wish, we are clan cats and we are a team unlike you
loners who are so self centered" she snarled in reply "It is the
hottest season and food is hard to come by" she hissed "We have
borders for a reason at least respect that Soul" she added "If
you had replied a little nicer you would have gotten off with a
warning, But now you must leave..." she snapped "your kit
skinned paws wont last half a heart beat on these stones" she
muttered in a hiss.
