she stopped herself from making a sharp retort, studying him.
flightlessstar hadn't heard those words before from rayclaw.
"oh." was all the leader could get out. after a few more
moments, she cleared her throat. "i'm sorry, i guess. i
understand if you were worried, i do, but you were just snapping
at me and..." flightless had no good idea of what to say. so,
she went with the easiest way to end the now somewhat-awkward
conversation. "i'm famished. would you get me some prey,
please?" she mewed, green eyes beginning to soften as the
she-cat watched him hopefully.

He narrowed his eyes wondering if she fully understood, though
didn't make any sort of reply as he left the den to get her some
prey. Moments later returned with a plump young rabbit - parents
obviously fed it too much. .

flightlessstar smiled, stomach growling at simply looking at the
rabbit. she went to lick her kits again, then situated herself a
little better to eat.

Rayclaw watched on; awkward and silent before he turned and
stalked out of the den, their first days of being alive and
their parents were in a rough patch. . perfect. .

flightless sighed and ate, thinking and watching her kits. the
four toms seemed to all be very similar in pelt color, and were
rather perfect to her. she slightly smiled, going to wrap her
tail tighter around them.

Nightkit was facing the wrong way, as she wrapped her tail
around him he got a little frightened and nipped what he
believed was some sort of a threat.

to take her tail away, she tried to shift nightkit around.
"don't worry little one." she mewed fondly.

Nightkit let out what would later be known as a growl, but for
now it was just a pathetic squeak.
