it wasn't exactly a secret that flightlessstar was a stubborn
she-cat. the pregnant she-cat had been adamant about giving up
her duties since day one of pregnancy, and that was exactly why
she was out hunting. to be truthful, it wasn't really hunting.
it was more of blundering around like a fat kittypet, pouncing
blindly. so, she was a bit clumsy, so what? that's what happens
when you're pregnant.
after catching a flimsy, limping mouse, a pain rumbled in her
abdomen and she gave a small yelp. flightless knew she was close
to birthing, and that plenty of cats had told her to not go out.
but, being the she-cat she is, she didn't listen, and now what?
the pains continued, and the beautiful leader cursed under her
breath. soon they became unbearable, and she was forced to find
the nearest patch of soft ferns and lie down, ripples of pain
spreading through her abdomen.
flightlessstar was soon going through a series of angry growls,
yelps of pain, and cursing when the first kit came. remembering
what she'd once seen of birthing, she licked it vigorously until
she situated it by her belly to allow it to suckle. soon, three
more kits followed and lay beside her belly. after staring at
them fondly for moments, flightless realized she had to make it
back to camp at some point.
great starclan, why did she have to be so d*mn stubborn all the
time? the leader hoped rayclaw would find her, or hazysoul, or
maybe even smallstar if she was still in thunderclan. hell, any
cat would do. flightlessstar weakly licked one of her kits
comfortingly, giving a sigh. as she tried to think of a solution
to this mess, the leader named her kits. "planetkit, nightkit,
jupiterkit, and callowaykit." she murmured. a small tinge of
guilt struck her when she realized that she didn't leave one or
two for rayclaw to name, but the names just popped into her
head.
she also realized that they were all times. "no she-cat? how am
i supposed to be sane with a family full of toms?"
flightlessstar muttered jokingly to herself. the leader curled
her tail protectively around them, continuing to wait again.

Nightkit let out a squeal as the cold air surrounded him. His
long haired black pelt stuck up all over the place, his mothers
scent was the only thing to comfort him.
[just cause]
Rayclaw was near by hunting, he thought he heard a squeak; it
could just be a mouse so he ignored it. Being down wind from his
mate he didn't scent her, nor did he scent the kits or the blood
that came from kitting.

planetkit grumbled loudly and shoved himself around, trying to
get warm. he yelped loudly next to his siblings, only settling
when he could suckle.
flightlessstar sighed, knowing they were cold. without a second
thought, the she-cat let out a loud mew to signal somecat, eyes
shining with worry for her kits.

Rayclaw heard the mew; obviously wanting help, he padded in the
direction of the mew. Soon stumbling upon Flightless - and the
kits, he had to force a smile down as he spotted four small
black bundles "You okay" he managed to ask as his gaze was fixed
on the bundles of life who argued over the warm spots.

"i'll be fine." she grunted softly. "meet your sons, planetkit,
nightkit, jupiterkit, and callowaykit." flightless mewed,
glancing fondly at the four bundles. "i'm sorry about going out
so close to kitting. i know i shouldn't have." the she-cat
finally admitted softly. "i hope it doesn't affect our kits'
health." flightlessstar mewed softly.
[gtg. i will be pretty inactive over labor day weekend, going to
see my g-pa.]

Ray smiled "I doubt it will do anything" he meowed looking
around "Lets get them back to camp, its not safe out here and
they should be looked over by Hazeysoul(bad spelling)" he added
looking at them, four boys - flightlessstar was in for the ride
of her life.

she nodded. hoisting herself up, flightlessstar when to gently
grasp planetkit and nightkit, eyes soft when she glanced at
them. her own kits -so cute! the she-cat soon glanced at rayclaw
to see if he was ready.

[sub]Callowaykit wailed as he shoved his brothers in attempt to
get milk. He was sightless and couldn't hear a thing. But he
could smell and feel, and he knew there was milk nearby, and
Callowaykit wanted it. The small black kitten had now found a
source of milk, and stopped thrashing around trying to find
it.[/sub]

Hazysoul had been out looking for her leader when she saw her.
She ran up to her and spoke, "Ob miss Im sorry I didnt get to
you sooner. Are you ok? Are you dying?", she asked worridly.

Ray was picking up Calloway and jupiter as the MC came into the
clearing "no, no ones dying" he managed to meowed between his
two kits, knowing she was thinking of his late mother
Rapidflight whom died during her kitting. He attempted to flick
his tail asking her to follow him back to camp, with
FlightlessStar and the other kits.
