Film recommendations?
By: notme Date: June 3, 2013, 7:10 pm

Does anyone have any film recs they'd like to give me? Live
action please. I like well put together films like stuff Wes
Anderson does mostly but I also like stupid teen movies and
actions and all that. I'm starting my 'film education' by not
only making lots of films but by watching lots of them as well.
Oh I also have a fondness for coming of age stories.

I have a few I've already told you about.
I'll include a short synopsis (probably taken from IMD).
Hesher: A boy and his father are in grieving and an anarchist
begins living in their garage one day.
Ghost World: Enid and Rebecca are social outsiders who, after
graduating from high school, play a mean prank on a middle-aged
geek.
But I'm a Cheerleader: A naive teenager is sent to rehab camp
when her straitlaced parents and friends suspect her of being a
lesbian.
Moonrise Kingdom(You've already watched): A pair of young lovers
flee their New England town, which causes a local search party
to fan out and find them.
(I've never watched these but I thought they looked cool):
The Squid and the Whale: Based on the true childhood experiences
of Noah Baumbach and his brother, The Squid and the Whale tells
the touching story of two young boys dealing with their parents'
divorce in Brooklyn in the 1980s.
The Savages: A sister and brother face the realities of familial
responsibility as they begin to care for their ailing father.
Submarine: 15-year-old Oliver Tate has two objectives: To lose
his virginity before his next birthday, and to extinguish the
flame between his mother and an ex-lover who has resurfaced in
her life.

well we have the camping trip coming up and also you have that
diner by your house that Randy and I have been meaning to hit
up, so there's some opportunities.
Not to mention, the fair's going on and stuff.
Lol i haven't even recommended a movie
Umm... I don't watch a lot of live action.
Little Big Soldier is good, directed by Jackie Chan
Shanghai Noon also has Jackie Chan in it.
Hook, if you haven't seen it, is based off of Peter Pan.
Master and Commander is an okay movie.
that's about it for me, not a huge live action fan when it comes
to hollywood

Hey all!
So, I'm volunteering at the Youth Leaders Film Festival the 14,
15, and 16 of this month! Idk if that's during the camping trip
or whatever, but I figured, hey, these are films, and you're
looking for recommendations, so..
I dunno if any of them are great - I haven't seen em yet - but
they're all indie films and I think it'd be super cool if you
all pop in for one or two of them! I'll be getting two free
tickets to each film showed, so I can even give you guys some of
them for free admission and the like.

^^ More info there. Let me know if you're interested in coming
out, yeah?? 8D

Hannah Trujillo got a hold of my list today and apparently shes
some kind of film buff because she added a shit ton more to the
list. Red i am going to make you watch at least some of these
movies with you, there are plenty of good live action films, you
haven't been watching the right ones. should i transpose the
list here? are you guys interested in watching my decent into
film induced madness?
